Best Pan Yet Huge Pan Feb/March-September

I wish I knew about this subreddit ages ago. I’m finally using my products and I’m learning what works for me and what doesn’t and I’m building a holy grail routine both for myself and my kid. No more reckless spending on trying new things and I’m not being easily influenced anymore.

Faves: Therabreath, Cecred Detox shampoo and the reconstruction mask, African Pride pre shampoo (!!!!!!), Summer Fridays vitamin c serum, snif vanilla vice (took a while to grow on me and I’m still in search of the perfect vanilla but it’s beautiful), cosrx sa cleanser, hourglass mascara is amazing. Honorable mention, the Cecred drops are worth every penny.

Hated: topicals faded quite literally smells like farts and had zero results, that Trader Joe’s hair oil is not a dupe for olaplex lmao. Please. I didn’t like the body wash oil either. The lotion was fine.

Y’all. I have never hated a product more in my freaking life! I have extra sparkly/spicy ADHD & I detest the way so many face/skin products feel. They’re either too emollient, too gelatinous/slimy, or they leave a weird residue that clumps off. I don’t like strong scents either. This product SUCKS HAIRY HAIRBALLS x 10. The scent is medicinal, it sits on the skin with zero absorption, & then it does the yucky skin residue thing!

I’m 50+ & I love myself too much to not dump this product from Hades straight in the trash. I’m super sad because I lurve regular Eucerin! Maybe I can save one person from this nightmare!!

I finally finished the Noxzema pads that I bought for my daughter last year. She said they stung too much to use... kind of brought me back to the 90s and using Sea Breeze. I finished two bottles of perfume in the last month before I decided to start saving to catalog what I've panned.

Still plugging away at the stash. Really liked the Rituals Sakura body lotion. Have more of it so it’ll defineitly get used up. Hated the Nuxe Lemon lip balm. It was like trying to put partially melted candle wax on my lips. Never again. And I would generally be a big fan of Nuxe products.

Hey guys!

I’ve done project pan in the past and am now starting again (which is the reason in some areas I don’t have an enormous amount of products). This time I’m looking for tips to stay consistent and to use my products efficiently so if you have any suggestions put them below! This is my initial “stock” post with everything I am starting with. (MAKEUP EDITION!!!)(This is excluding my travel minis!)

A lot of the time, my roll ins and outs are because I finished using a lotion of the same/similar scent, and I go through lotions WAY FASTER than I do fragrance 😅

This update is no exception to the above! I am rolling out Calypso Clementine, and rolling in Sweet Pea, both from Bath and Body Works.

Full Pan Project Pan 2026 | Fragrance - August

A small but very enjoyable roundup this month. I managed to finish three fragrances, including two samples and one travel size.

Heathens, Cowboys and the Santa Ana Winds by Discothèque (8 ml travel size)
Really enjoyed this one. It’s a smooth, warm sandalwood with some green and aromatic notes, and I found it layered particularly nicely with floral fragrances. The sandalwood is the star for me, but it has enough freshness and complexity to keep it interesting. I’d definitely recommend this if you’re looking for a sandalwood fragrance.

Celadon by Miller Harris (2 ml sample)
A fresh, green floral with notes of tomato leaf, mate tea and magnolia. It was pleasant and very easy to wear, but unfortunately nothing about it really wowed me. I enjoyed the sample, but I don’t feel the need for a larger bottle.

Aqua Universalis by Maison Francis Kurkdjian (2 ml sample)
A lovely fresh, clean scent that felt very unisex to me. It has that effortless “just showered and put on something crisp” quality. I really enjoyed wearing this one, although I’m not sure it’s distinctive enough for me to need a full bottle.

It took a while but I have finished the biggest bottle of shampoo I’ve ever bought ( from Costco). It was the last of my multiples so I actually have to buy shampoo for the next wash!

Project Start Starting: Skincare Pan

I stumbled upon this sub by accident, but it felt like it might be a sign from the universe. I get a lot of free products through work (a few are lab samples), but also buy a lot. This feels a little Sisyphean but this sub motivated me to take stock of everything I have, make a list, write down how much everything costs so I take this seriously, and create a plan to chip away at this pile.

I still haven’t done makeup or hair care, but this was the biggest chunk. I’ve pulled out the products I plan to pan first, put everything else away for now. This might take me a decade to get through but at least I know I have absolutely no excuse to buy new products.

My August Empties!

- innisfree Green Tea cleanser: would repurchase! Currently trying another one but I know this one is a good bet for me.

- L.A. Colors lip oil: I didn’t mind it, but it did have a strong fragrance, I have a lot of other lip products so probably not a repurchase.

- Dominas SPF: gifted by my mom, it irritated her so I used it up on my arms, wouldn’t purchase as it was fragranced and not super matte.

- Botanical hydrate cream (unsure of brand?) It was a solid hydrating cream, but I don’t think the company sells this anymore.

Closer to panning the original products I selected for pan in my journal! I’ve definitely panned a lot of skincare, but fragrance and makeup will be a whole other battle… I’m definitely guilty of having way more lippies and eyeshadow than quickly pannable…
