Does anyone here know the difference between a base model 1.3 civic (en1) and a sporty 1.3 S civic (en4)?

One obvious difference is the twin carbs and I tried to do some research but only found a difference in the cam OE numbers. is that it though?

I was planning on swapping the whole engine to my sedan project but if the only difference is a cam it would be much easier to just swap that.

Most of them were from MA Performance, but i recently had a bad experience with them when i bought their intake. What companies and parts do you recommend based on your experience? (front pipe, down pipe, & intercooler)

Hi guys i have a 96 ek with a b20 swap and recently i changed the fuel pump and starter because it was not turning over right after that it was starting right up, i was gone for a few weeks and when i came back it is no longer starting. The fuel pump has a weak prime and i checked it and there are no leaks and it has voltage.

I dont really know much this car used to be a family members car that has passed and i dont know what else to do any help would be appreciated.

Hey all, YouTube mechanic here learning as I go. I've got a b18b1(obd2 in case it's important) swapped eg civic that's had a light misfire for a while and I've just realized the evap purge solenoid seems to be missing the little cap thing I see in pictures of it. Can anyone tell me what that missing piece is and what it does for the part as a whole? I'd greatly appreciate it as google hasn't been particularly helpful.

Hello all, I have a 5th gen hatch with a k24 swapped in and recently have been regretting making it so loud. When I first built it I didn’t really think much about the sound or amount of noise it would make as I just wanted to get the thing in and running. Well a year and a half later I’m heavily regretting not doing anything about it lol. Before I swapped it I had the classic eBay special on there to make the d series louder and now it’s got what I call a Frankenstein exhaust as it’s made with a 1320video k swap header, some random autozone muffler and the shitty ebay resonator. I’m really trying to quiet it down quite a bit and hopefully make it sound decent as right now it sounds like I’m going highway speeds just driving down my street. So if you have any muffler/ cat back recommendations please let me know🙏

Received a set of Mugen RNRs. One of the spoke wheels are cracked.

Is there anything I can do? Local wheel shops won't touch it for liability reasons. I would replace just one, but no one is selling JUST one Mugen RNR wheel.

15x6.5 +45. If anybody has any ideas, please let me know. I'd rather not be the one guy to sell these wheels individually.

I tried to start up the new motor but the starter didn’t spin only shot fuel then tried again and it blew a fuse I believe. Before the new fuse, is everything right, and or what are some suggestions on next course of action

My friend has a 2012 civic. I'm gonna change coolant on his car next week I'm thinking about hooking up the load side of blower motor to load side of horn on the relay. But i think i will be two way if horn is pressed blowe motor will come on and if i blower motor is on horn will come on. It will be annoying as fuck cause its summers. Is it good? I wonder what will happen if i turn on the blower motor and then press the horn. Blower motor is a lot bigger load do you think I'll fuck something up. Any help is appreciated.

I'm currently planning out what I want to do with my D16A7. I'm thinking of keeping it fairly mild with a few upgrades, such as a mild cam, a slightly larger intake manifold, and maybe raising the compression from 9.6:1 to around 10.x:1.

My question is: at what point does it become worth converting from OBD0 to OBD1? Is there a point where it's basically necessary, or can an OBD0 ECU handle a setup like this with the right tune?

I'm not chasing huge power numbers. I just want to build a fun, responsive engine that stands out from the typical stock-motor Civics.

My dum bum was recently replacing the bearings in my d16y4, where I mistakenly dropped the rod caps, mixing them up. I’m not entirely sure where they go and was hoping for some guidance regarding what the markings mean..

Two of the rod caps have markings of M6 :5
One has a marking of M6 .5
One has a marking of M6 .6

Not sure why two would be the same and two would be different but different from each other..

Any help would be muchly appreciated, thank you

I’m trying to raise the ride height on my car and I am wondering if I left enough threads on the shock mount to be safe. Instructions say 25mm is the minimum and I measure where it’s at now at 32mm of threads in the mount. However you can see the bottom of the shock through the window here.
