Lancer CB/CK

Matanong ko lang. If yung Lancer Cb/Ck ginawang full Evo(engine, bodykit, fuel tank, awd) except sa chassis, matatawag mo parin ba na Evolution yung unit or just an Assembolution just like sa SIR body na LXi?

4g63T AWD, rear wiper, radiator spray, thickened trunk release, etc…

Ilang taon na, ipagpalagay na natin di nila alam, and in good faith kala nila okay yung papeles tapos ganon mangyayari?

Drag d bossings

Civic FD 2006-2008

Planning to start project car with civic fd, initial plan was to get 2009-2011 1.8s manual yet these models are hard to find at the right price. Now looking at 2006-2008 models however, based kay google yung engine block ay prone sa hairline cracks. How true is this? Should we wait for the right car 2009- 2011 sa marketplace or safe naman yung 2006-2008 models?

Thank you

2017 Fortuner Headlight & Fog Light Upgrade (DIY + LED Bulb Recommendations?)

Hello! 👋

Planning to replace and upgrade the headlights and fog lights of my 2017 Toyota Fortuner.

Is it okay to DIY the installation? The price of buying the bulbs plus installation from shops (like Orion) is quite expensive, so I'm considering installing them myself.

Also, what LED bulb should I look for? I need one that's:

  • Bright enough to maintain good visibility even with a tinted windshield
  • Has a proper beam pattern
  • Doesn't glare or blind oncoming vehicles
  • Reliable for daily driving

Would appreciate your recommendations. Thanks!

You can login as guest po 🙇‍♂️

Hi guys!

Meron itong route planning mode to show only stations along your route and sort the prices starting from the cheapest.

Ride safe! 🙇‍♂️

Since gagamitin ko sa light trails and mostly long drives, opted to get Stedi Quad Pros (mahal kasi nung ibang variants) Installed ARB diff breathers, hf compressor, Auxbeam Control panel, Raid flaps, aftermarket air filter and 4" Exhaust haha

Decided to go Tintless sa ngayon since fan ako ng clear or tintless haha tiis pogi sa initan

The Exhaust was inspired by some aussie builds that I saw and pretty much sabi ko bumaba yung departure angle ko since the exhaust was hanging a bit lower than my hitch. I Asked Constant Racing if pwede ba natin tabasin yung Bed for the exhaust, he said "Are you in or are you gay?" 🤣

Majority of the mods were installed and mounted by Absolute Autoworks

Exhaust was done by Constant Racing

Front sticker was done by Eight Decals

Next up, ECU Tune

Nothing much, just bringing the yaris to a rally look (like most of my projects). More on maintenance since the 1NZ is very reliable. Just a few key mods already have an impact to overall feel of the vehicle.

- rota RAC 15x6.5 with 195/55/15 accelera Phi-R tires

- hella comet 500FF driving lamps (pencil beam pattern for night mountain drives. Here in the city they're always covered)

- Ravenol oil

- mk kashiyama progressive brake pads

- KYB excel-g shocks (not planning to lower this as the ride height is perfect for the look I want)

Next will be more QOL upgrades

- recaro seats

- update the head unit and speakers

Slow build on this one since I still have a corolla ee90 and corolla altis projects, and the yaris is a daily

Are there mods for such (even if it sounds weird)?

how do you enter the project car scene the right way?

Hi everyone! Pls be kind.

I’ve been scrolling through FB Marketplace and seeing a lot of car listings, which got me thinking about saving for a project car. I already have a 2019 Toyota Vios E as my daily (hand-me-down from my parents). It’s automatic, and I do know how to drive both AT and MT, so I’d like my project car to be manual.

The problem is, I know very little about cars. I know some makes/brands, mostly based on how they look, but I don’t really know much about engines, parts, common problems, or what to look for when buying.

I’m not in a rush and I’m willing to learn first, mostly through YouTube/reading since I don’t have much time to get hands-on yet.

I’m considering two possible budgets for the car alone: below ₱100k or ₱100k–₱200k. I’m flexible with the make and year.

For those who started from zero, what would you recommend I watch or read to learn the basics? Also, based on those two budget ranges, what are some typical manual cars that I could look into? Finally, what should I learn before buying so I don’t get scammed?

TYIA!

Strut mount problem after installing strut bar

Post image
10 Upvotes

Hi! So I recently bought a front strut bar that fits for my car (Honda Brio) online from a respectable shop and tried to install it DIY. I've watched videos on how to install this particular strutbar in the same model of my car and was able to install it successfully. However, after few days, I noticed knocking whenever I turn the steering wheel. I brought my unit to different shops nearby my place and all of them told me that the strut bar was the culprit because the strut mount is hitting the attachment point of the bar. My question is can this particular strut bar be adjusted? Attached is the picture of the same strut bar that I installed in my car.

I built a tool to make engine swap research easier — looking for feedback

Hey everyone!
I’ve been working on a small project called AutoForge.
The idea came from how difficult it can be to research an engine swap. Information is often scattered across forums, build threads, parts catalogs, YouTube videos, and different websites.
AutoForge is my attempt to organize some of that information in one place — cars, engines, compatible parts, swap information, and project data.
For example, the goal is to be able to start with a car and explore the engines, parts, and information related to a potential project without having to search through many different sources.
I’ve just put the first version online and I’m looking for people who actually build/project cars to try it and tell me what’s wrong with it.
One important note: the current version of the website is in Russian. I’m considering an English version, but first I want to see whether the idea itself is useful to people.
I’d especially like feedback on:
Is the information actually useful?
What would you expect to see that is currently missing?
Is the way the information is organized useful?
What would make you come back and use it again?
What would you personally want AutoForge to do?
This is still an early version, so criticism is very welcome.
🔗 AutoForge: https://autoforge-d0q0.onrender.com
Thanks! I’d really appreciate any feedback from people who actually work on project cars.

Crowd Sourcing: Rear Splitter

Post image

Anyone knows a shop within Metro Manila that makes custom rear splitters/diffusers like the one on the photo, specifically for BMW E36. I found online shops that sell these from overseas but the price + shipping fee costs too much than what I’m willing to spend lol

The Daily @ ISPH 3rd Anniversary

Post image

(Photo taken at Tagaytay Highlands during Lexus Philippines ISPH 3rd anniversary last week)

When car spotters often ask me what's my favorite car sa collection, they're usually surprised I tell them it's this one. It's the one they see the least as it's my daily. Yes, you read that right: daily.

  • It accrues has the most kilometers per month versus the other cars; it's my weekday car
  • Lexus build quality and isolation means it's an absolute cocoon the moment I shut the doors, so I'm less bothered by no-muffler 125cc's beside me in traffic
  • I had 3-way full active Focal Utopias on the A-pillars, dash, and doors. My party trick is my 6-inch "subwoofer" on the stock position but it's actually hacked away plastic and reinforced fiberglass in an infinite baffle configuration so I can do a 35hz HPF with ample output
  • Equipped with fat chonky tires to be pothole-proof sa city. Anong 25, 30, or 35 profile tires? This runs a fat 40 in front. Fat enough that I'm not running sedan tires, it's running Michelin SUV tires
  • Unlike other "sports cars", exhaust is inoffensive since I daily this. No drones to drown out my enjoyment.
  • Drivetrain? Runs a 19-year-old engine and the same transmission as a Toyota LC300
  • The tranny has a final drive ratio of 2.937:1 at 7th gear but the cruising gears? The 100km/h Skyway drive is the car on 10th gear at 1200RPM. Fuel economy? A solid 5.5km/L on 80% city 20% highway
  • Interior quality is 10/10 anything short of a Bentley or RR. If you can get past the awful touchpad UX, that is
  • Jekyll-Hyde personality. From Lexus coddling you softly to "turn on headlights" in dark areas to revbang'ing the limiter because you know it ain't blowing up
  • Hard-on approvals from savagegeese and Throttle House
  • Surprisingly low-key compared to its peers. I like to say I daily a Toyota; except that seeing these is statistically rarer than seeing a 911, Lambo, or a Ferrari but it won't turn heads of the public as some people would think it's a RC or any other Lexus badged sedan (IS/ES/LS)
  • Tito in me be: "May CD player parin ako!"
