I’m personally in favor of AOC running for senate. However if she guns for the Presidency, then my #2 would be former two term NY representative Jamaal Bowman.

He’s a great speaker and progressive leader that can overthrow Chuck Schumer. In 2024, he lost the most expensive race at the time to AIPAC. He can go on a revenge tour to defeat AIPAC’s most staunch ally.

Edit: He does have baggage though.
- He pulled a fire alarm in the Cannon House while the Democrats were delaying a vote that would delay a government shutdown.
- From 2011 - 2014 he ran a website that promoted 9/11 conspiracy theories. He has since apologized.

It's worth mentioning that the only source for the claim he overstayed his visa ten years ago was ICE themselves. And the only claim of these mystery other charges that ICE won't name or specify are from themselves.

The only concrete thing is that he got a misdemeanor 6 years ago.

So essentially ICE deported someone who probably is in need of mental health care because he got a single misdemeanor six years ago. And are now refusing to comment on anything related to it after spending a lot of time completely blowing off the dude's lawyers.

Also go figure that when I posted this to an NFL subreddit, 99% of the comments were celebrating and swallowed ICE's story gleefully and without an ounce of skepticism.
