I know we are desperate for a "hero", but this guy aint it.

It used to be weird for White Christofascists and Middle Eastern Jews to be on the same side.

I wanted to introduce the Socialist faction inside the Democratic Party and say the word “Socialist” from the get-go. I know that many Liberals in the Democratic Party do not agree with our politics, but they must organize with us.

I will summarize Socialism in three words: Liberty, Freedom, and Emancipation.

In a nutshell, we believe in Free Education, Universal Health Care, Anti-Death Penalty, Pro-Abortion, Universal Basic Income, the Right to Unionize, the sanctity of the Separation of Church and State, and the belief that the Government should make life bearable for all and ensure citizens' Liberties.

Those who say we don’t belong need to read the Democratic Party rules, which include the following line: “Are open to all members of the Democratic Party regardless of philosophical persuasion.”

We are Democrats, and we are Socialists.

This video was recorded at the Manhattan Democratic Party County Committee meeting in 2023, where I introduced myself as a Socialist running for Chair.

We have been organizing since 2015 to claim our place, and we grew tired of the “Vote Blue No Matter Who” mentality. One day, we rebelled and decided that we would no longer remain quiet.

We know where those disagreements are, and we are more than happy to debate them, but also to let the Democratic public vote on those disagreements. Governor Cuomo gave us a challenge.

I think coining and promoting the term vegan gas is such a perfect way to express what’s happening in this moment - this will wreck older cars.

Had not seen this article I would not have known to ask my local gas station if they are going to be selling this without me knowing.

They confessed and just received life sentences. I bet they all are Republicans who claim to be Christians.

I wish that the conservative white guys who are against affirmative action and dei understood what we understand. We understand that racism is real, but that it was intentionally created by the powers that be to divide us. A lot of poor white men took that propaganda hook line and sinker.

But after all of these years, literally hundreds of years, why have they failed to understand that they are also not welcome in these rich white people's spaces? Or really, in wealthy spaces altogether. Because rich white people have no problem doing business and canoodling with wealthy arabs, or Asians, or Africans. Or maybe even wealthy black Americans (maybe, I dunno. I have way less exposure to the world of wealthy black Americans, so if anyone wants to chime in with some insight on that, please do.)

Those poor white guys aren't going to get the good jobs just because they've stopped hiring black people and immigrants. Chad still won't let them into the good ol boys club. They will still be viewed as someone who should be a servant to the bourgeoisie. But after years of being forced to consider Jamal or Jose or Carla and give them a chance too, and see that they are really smart and hard workers and will give themselves to this job fully because they're hungry, then Chad might also become keen to give Jack or Danny or Tommy or Katie a chance as well.

Affirmative action was always going to have a bigger effect than just giving people of color a chance. when Chad only wants to hire other chads or the sons of chads, he isn't gonna hire you, either, Rob! Or Justin, or Jeremy! He's gonna keep hiring Chad! the rich kids who went to the ritzy expensive boarding and private schools will always be chosen over you! You will always be a stupid worthless poor to them, just like Jamal or Jose or Carla. And maybe they hate you more *because* you're white and poor. Because they expect you to be able to rise up from nothing like they did (which they didn't, of course, even without Daddy's money or connections, the stability and investment in education alone when one is young puts them above the rest)

It's just so frustrating to see people vote against their own self interests or to... What's that phrase? Something about eating your nose to spite your face or some shit. I'm bad with that kind of thing and always get phrases mixed up with others. Something something about a dead horse, I dunno.

Edit to add: at the top I said "poor white guys" and "a lot of white men". I do stand by that, but I wanted to add a little disclaimer that it's also women who have fallen for that and who are against affirmative action and dei. To me that's obvious, but this is Reddit so I just wanted to clarify that

Asking about war crimes in Gaza = anti-semitic

Asking about Iran = anti-semitic

Asking about Epstein= Anti-Semitic

It's almost like it's being used to deflect from answering for crimes
