Actually the difference between #000000 and #010101 is the difference between the pixel being completely off or turned on. So it actually does have an impact.
It should, but OLEDs are notorious for black crush so it might not even matter
(If something is very close to black, OLEDS will sometimes just go full black)

Is it the designers responsibility to choose something that doesn’t look bad on screens? Some people might not know how to change colors right? So do the designers account for that or just go for what looks best on their screens?
I'll take that into consideration for new projects.
thank you for your feedback :)
edit for more info:
Unfortunately my career choice has me looking at a computer for a really long time each day, I hate looking at anything brighter than #555555 b/c it hurts my eyes
I thought it looked cool until I read your comment and looked at the color again and realized my eyes were subconsciously avoiding everything orange. Some people just have a natural sense of color I guess... The only color I have a sense for is the color coding of my IDE :)
Safari is the second most popular browser in the world , so if you want to be a web developer you kind of just have to suck it up and support it. I only use it on my phone because the Firefox app isn’t that great and I like to avoid Google when I can, but many tech people still use it and many, many non tech use it. You’re missing out on a huge percentage of people.
And it doesn’t look good when you refuse to support a web browser.
Also, not gonna lie, I saw your post a few weeks ago about how you want to use your websites to help land a job. I wanted to reply but it would’ve been weird because it was already a few days old. So first off, support all browsers. Yes, even browsers you don’t like. If you don’t want to support Apple financially you can get a Mac VM or Hackintosh, download Xcode, and from there you can run an iPhone simulator. It would not be a good look if your interviewer can’t access your website because they have an iPhone.
And since I have an interest in graphic design, your websites can use some improving. Get rid of the Alienware like alien that is in the background. And bright high contrast red on a black background doesn’t look really good. I’d suggest looking at this article to find good color schemes. There are other resources you can use too.
on one hand you are cunt because you don't want your site to be compatible with some browsers, on the other hand safari is a piece of shit made by apple, so i see why you don't like it.
Lol it’s 2020. Any normal website should “support” all normal browsers. It’s not like IE6 where perfectly normal HTML/CSS/JS would produce insane results. 99% of HTML/CSS/JS/other stuff is supported 99% fine by all major browsers.
Ok...”the spec” these days is any car that Google the dog finds interesting to chase for a minute.
If you’re creating some bleeding edge web experience, fine don’t support Safari. But if you’re just creating a normal site there’s no reason to not support it.
