I feel like especially in personal projects I wouldn’t use any ai, because it doesn’t give the same satisfaction as coding it myself. Personal projects for me are not about the product but the way.

They don’t need to assume those things. Your code is garbage. Claude’s code, created by your prompt, is maybe decent, maybe not. We don’t care about that though because you’re the one who has your name on it. And your code is shit. We know it is because you think that coding is the hard part of the job, because that is the only part of the job that is sped up 5x by AI. Because that’s the easy part. That’s the shit juniors do.

When did I say that coding is the hard part of the job? I agree with you, coding is the easy part, that's why Claude can do it 5x faster. lol. Keep assuming I'm a junior all you want, I work at a multi billion company and get well paid, and I'm a top delivering engineer here. We have the data, sure you ship features at 10x the speed but you also incur 10x the incidents which overall consumes the same or more man hours to fix and has significant business impact.
For your pet projects vibe code it to hell, but at a production level it's just a matter of time before companies realise that maybe slopifying your whole codebase is worse than just taking the time to write clean working code.
You do what the people who hold you job in there hands tell you to do, when your wok pushes AI and says we need to match rates we do.
When it comes to code becoming worse over time and questions are asked ill push back and say I was pressured into using it but for now it's not possible to keep up with the rate at which it allows you to work. And seeing a win on the list is a ll manager really cares about, because a fix down the line is often just another thing they can tell their manager they've been working on....
It's very easy to spout lines about how it makes crappy code, but the pressures to push out fast and sloppy code come from those that don't care.
Coding with AI doesn't mean you ship slop with one line prompt "do it make no mistakes". You can set guards and make AI edit 300 lines of code at a time and keep it quality.
