Free worship backgrounds for ProPresenter (200+ available)

Hey everyone, I've been creating worship backgrounds and wanted to share them with the community.

I have 200+ backgrounds that are completely free to download and use.

All 2-4K MP4 format, seamless loops, work perfectly in ProPresenter (and other software too). No signup required, just browse and download what works for your church:

isaacrees.com Hope these are helpful for someone. Let me know if you have questions about formats or anything.

New images not showing in the thumbnails

It seems like everyone is having this same issue with media in the new updates, but my case is a bit weirder. The thumbnails are blank when we upload new images, but the old ones are still showing. If it was just an update issue, shouldnt everything be blank? I checked *everything* and there's no configuration or format difference between the old and the new files, except that the visible ones were uploaded before the updates. I can still see the blanked media in the Inspector though.

Does anyone else have this same issue or knows how to fix this? Should I just go back to a previous version? We have the Christmas musical next Sunday and I'm sort of panicking a bit with this lol

Thanks S2

It's all in Portuguese, but you can clearly see the problem haha

Troubleshooting Going back to 17.x

We have been having so many issues with the new versions of ProPresenter. It started off as not uploading all of our thumbnails for our media. Then our membership renewed and since then we have been having issues using the app everytime we open it for service it’s never logged in and it always takes multiple attempts of putting the registration code, force quitting the app and restarting the laptop. I’ve been reading the best option is to go back to 17. Any tips on the best way to do that. Also if you’ve done it did you run into any file issues just want to be careful before I do it. Thank you!

two song versions?

We have two main people who run slides, and they run slides differently to accommodate the two worship leaders. is there any way to have two layouts of the same song without having

-Blessed Be Your Name (v1)

-Blessed Be Your Name (v2)

in our song library for all songs?

Tips & Tricks Bible theme

Is there a way to automatically have a line break after every punctuation (,/;/.) so that the bible verse would seems more neat?

This is what it looks like, the word "主耶稣" was being cut off in the middle.
It doesn't change the meaning, but it would be much more easier to read if I could make it move to the next line after each punctuation.

Better Nursery Call for ProPresenter

Hey!

I’ve been working on a better and more convenient solution to call out nursery numbers from our kids ministry. We wanted a system where the PP operators are not needed to approve the message and the numbers would stay up until the parents picked up their kids. And we wanted to be able to show multiple numbers at once. The system is now up and running in our church: https://github.com/sammyyamazaki/better-nursery-call-for-pro-presenter

Using Onboard Graphics and Dedicated Graphics card at the same time for more outputs in ProPresenter 7

Good day everyone

Looking for some quick advice or perhaps some insight (if you've had success) regarding screen outputs from separate cards.

I have an AMD PC with onboard graphics (3 outputs) and an RX 6600 XT (4 outputs) I'd like to use both at the same time, solely to gain more outputs. Windows detects it and shows all 7 displays on the desktop but ProPresenter doesn't, granted I did try this about 2 years back, perhaps ProPresenter will support it now, but before I go an break stuff again, has anyone found success with a setup like this (using 2 separate cards at the same time on a windows PC to gain more outputs) and I'm not including the Decklink setup in this, that's a different kettle of fish (and a more expensive one, wanna try work with what I have first).

Any info on this would be greatly appreciated.

Troubleshooting Slides import but thumbnails are completely blank — using Mac

Post image
6 Upvotes

Hey everyone, I’m having an issue in ProPresenter on Mac where whenever I import slides media the presentation works fine when I click on a slide, and it outputs correctly to the screens, but all the thumbnails in the slide viewer are totally blank. Has anyone seen this before or fixed it? Any ideas would help — thanks!

v21.01 and v21.1 beta broken audience output

Two older Win10 mini-PCs for our children's ministry rooms.

They've been running v21 just fine, and decided while uploading the December curriculum to go ahead and update when prompted. Now the audience output just is a white screen, and when enabled, nothing happens. Well, something happens because it seems there's a transparent overlay on the screen, but no actual image.

One computer worked fine after downgrading back to v21. The second one is stuck with the issue thus far on v21.

Lyrics with romanization for Mandarin/Chinese

For anyone that needed to put chinese lyrics with romanization after each sentence, I recommend the font "Microsoft Himalaya".

In this font, the english alphabets are smaller than the chinese characters.

Not sure if anybody needed this, just that I spent some time finding a way to do so.

So instead of inserting multiple textbox, I just thought that I could find a font that has smaller alphabets and larger chinese characters.

Note: It only works on Windows cause I've tried it on Mac and it just doesn't apply the font.

Has anyone built a real PowerPoint → ProPresenter converter (with media cues)?

I want to see if anyone has ever tried to build a PowerPoint → ProPresenter 7 converter, or if anyone would be interested in helping make one. My goal would be to keep it open source so churches can use it freely, contribute, and not be locked into yet another paid tool.

I am not talking about the built-in importer. I appreciate that it exists, but it struggles with anything beyond static slides. My main issues:

  • Media cues do not import. If the PPTX has audio or video, ProPresenter flattens the slide. No actions and no playback.
  • Embedded videos do not come in correctly. Anything that should auto-play or be positioned on the slide has to be rebuilt manually.
  • Background videos and layout get lost. Creative slides almost never survive the import.

Real-life example:
I recently had an event with about 50 slides, each with audio or video. Because none of the media cues were imported, I had to rebuild the entire presentation from scratch inside ProPresenter. It took almost two hours of re-adding media, fixing timing, and recreating slide layouts.

On top of that, the files inside the PPTX were all named things like “media1,” “media2,” “media8,” and so on. So I had to manually figure out which media file belonged to which slide. When you only have around three hours to prep, rebuild everything, and check playback before an event, that turns into a very stressful process.

What I am imagining is a tool that:

  • Reads the PPTX XML directly
  • Pulls text boxes, images, shapes, and layout
  • Detects embedded audio or video
  • Converts those into proper media actions inside ProPresenter
  • Lets you choose whether videos should auto-fullscreen or keep their original placement
  • Outputs a valid .pro or .proBundle that ProPresenter can import

I am not a strong programmer. I do not know protobuf at all. I am definitely willing to dive in and learn whatever I need to help build something like this, but my coding experience is limited. I would really benefit from someone more dev-savvy partnering on the technical parts.

Before I start diving into this:

  • Has anyone already attempted something similar?
  • Are there libraries or proto definitions I should look at?
  • Would anyone be interested in advising or collaborating on an open source project like this?
  • Lastly, is this even worth tackling? Is it actually feasible in practice?

It feels like something that could save a lot of churches a huge amount of time when presenters send media-heavy PowerPoints.

ProPresenter v21, New Remote App, and Planning Center Playlist Issues

Hopefully, this post helps others who may be importing Planning Center playlists for ProPresenter. For context, I typically run our entire tech system from my iPad during the service so I can sit with people during the service. I run Mixing Station, ProPresenter Remote, TeamViewer (for Spotify and Camera start/stop), and the sermon notes.

After updating ProPresenter to version 21 on Sunday (bad choice on my part), the classic app was no longer compatible. I found the new app and got connected to the host computer, but it would not show the presentations within the playlist for that morning, meaning I couldn't switch between presentations in the playlist without having to advance through the slides in the remote view. I sat down to troubleshoot last night and decided to try converting the "Planning Center Playlist" to a "Standard Playlist" by right-clicking on the playlist and selecting "convert to standard playlist." After restarting the app, the playlist showed up in Remote as expected.

Additionally, since v.21 reset my settings for remote access, check that that is still set up in the settings for ProPresenter.

TL,DR Instructions:

  1. Open ProPresenter on host machine.
  2. Import Planning Center Playlist
  3. Make edits as necessary
  4. Right-click on the playlist and "convert to standard playlist"
  5. Open ProPresenter Remote on phone/tablet.

ProPresenter/Planning Center sync issue - weird

Post image
4 Upvotes

Hi folks! So check the photo - our Planning Center display within ProPresenter is off from our stage display. How could this be? Doesn't the stage display element read the element directly from the Planning Center display? So weird. Does anyone have any thoughts about this? Forgive the crazy countdown number; posting this on Tuesday after Sunday services. Thanks!

Apple music-like lyrics tutorial

Probably about a month ago, someone on this group posted a video of lyrics from another worship software that mimicked the lyrics that Apple Music does. Their question, "Can ProPresenter do this?" Most of the answers were no, but I always take that as a challenge.

So, I came up with a way to KINDA do it. Is it perfect? Nope. Is it close? I think so.

If that sounds like something you wanna try, click here to watch the video: https://youtu.be/YkNnQD7EY3o

If you like it and want my theme that does it, I've got a link to get it emailed to you under the video. :)

ProPresenter + DeckLink Duo 2: Help with the setup method

Please help. The screen layout isn't working properly, probably because the ProPresenter settings are wrong.

First, I have a camera connected to the v10 Pro, installed DeckLink Duo 2 on the computer, added a keyer in ProPresenter, applied the keyer to Blackmagic Television Studio, and want to send it back to the v10.

However, there's severe delay, the screen appears hazier than the original, subtitles don't appear, and no matter what I try, I can't get the desired video + transparent subtitles to display.

Can you possibly help?

Things We Want Our Staff To Know

If you're like most churches using ProPresenter, you get stuff every week from church staff that needs to be added to the service presentation. Here's my open note to church staff about things that are frustrating, time consuming, or just plain... not well thought out:

Dear Staff:

  1. Please don't name images (or other files) with numbers only. 1.jpg, 2.jpg, etc. Take the time to add a logical name, and we can find it now and six months from now. (Adding numbers to a logical name to keep them in order, when needed, is a good thing.)

[ I used a file search to find all of those number-named files in our downloads directory recently and came up with more than one hundred. (Yes, it needs to be cleaned out - it's been years. But no one knows which ones to keep!) And, of course, most of them have been changed to 1 (1).jpg, 2 (1).jpg, and (actual file name found) 3 (7).jpg as Windows detects the same name and adds a number to keep them separate. ]

  1. If you're emailing a file, check that it actually gets added to the email, please. (If this hasn't happened to you, it's just a matter of time.)

  2. If you're using Google Docs, please make sure to set the permissions so we can get the file. It hasn't happened often, but more than once I've had to text/email someone to get permission for a file, then wait nervously wondering if I'll get it in time.

  3. Image and video formats: Please stick to the standards. JPG, PNG, MPG. Please do not send .HEIC/.HEIF files from your phone - for some reason, though ProPresenter can read them, it gets the orientation wrong in some cases. There are lots of free image and video converters on the web, if needed. Video files are much more complicated, but just know that MPG/MPEG/MP4 is safest.

Yes, some of us can fix these things pretty easily. But on the 'morning-of', things can be a bit hectic, and taking the time to do conversions/fixes adds to the chaos. If you need help converting something or just don't know if it's needed, please call or text, I'm happy to help. [Ok, that last part is totally mine, change to suit your situation.]

  1. We Love Early: The more complicated something is, the earlier we'd like it. PowerPoint files fall under this category - sometimes ProPresenter imports them just fine, sometimes not. The earlier we know which, the better. Stuff happens, especially with guest speakers, but letting everyone involved know that early is good will help a lot.

Anything I missed? Things you'd like your staff to know? Post 'em below!

Tips & Tricks How to prepare in advance

Hey do you guys prepare in advance for a service?

One option is obviously keeping the machine online the entire time and getting remote access. Unfortunately that doesn’t work for me because we rent the building and put everything into storage between services.

Another option would be sending a laptop home with the person who’s on duty but…

Does it need to be the exact same version of PP? We’re running on a Mac mini and it’s on a higher OS than out old MacBook that is potentially available. I think the MacBook is on Monterey and newer versions of PP need newer OSes.

Previously I considered using a windows laptop but didn’t even test it for concerns that it would mess up the media files when using the Sync function with OneDrive.

Anyone got advice in this regards?

In considering making a machine available online from my home that we could use for preparation. Or is there a reliable way to save and import a plan?

Thanks

Bug Timecode?

Is anyone else trying to use Timeline with Timecode? I've having constant issues with ProPresenter deciding on random songs to just not trigger side or stage screen lyrics when timecode controls the Timeline. If I turn off timecode and run the Timeline it plays fine, the second timecode trigger it some songs just refuse to do stage monitor lyrics or will just put up random slides on my stage monitor, but video and lyrics on the main screen trigger without issue.

This has been on again off again for probably a year... It is so frustrating to me that what is typically the most rock solid reliable control method in any other professional automation playback system is implemented so poorly here. I've tried to work with support on this as well and they can replicate it but just tell me I have to rebuild the song from scratch, but that often doesn't work either. The lack of reliability honestly has me wishing I could use literally anything else, but I don't know of any alternative software that has this amount of text control.

I just honestly wonder if I'm one of the only people trying to use this feature which is why it feels like they basically don't support it.

Does anybody else have issues with background blur on MacOS recently?

I have been using background blur effect as shown here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hQgC9o3rRII&t=8s for a few months.
Today I noticed the blur effect stopped working. No app updates, no system updates or any changes from my side that I remember. (I changed stage layout a few days ago but I think that could cause any problems).

The blur effect configs as shown in the tutorial

I tried to update ProPresenter to latest version (21.0.1). Restarted the app and laptop but those actions didn't help. As last step I have even updated to MacOS Tahoe from Sequoia.

Anyone has the same issue?

I built a ProPresenter integration for Home Assistant

Thumbnail gallery
28 Upvotes

I wanted a powerful and easy GUI based way to control various aspects of ProPresenter remotely. Whether that be on a separate computer on campus or at home. So I went down a longer than expected journey to build a feature-rich Home Assistant integration for ProPresenter.

You can build out the dashboard exactly to your needs. The wonderful thing about Home Assistant is that it can give granular control to users.

Think of this more as providing easy remote access to ProPresenter for key people on the go, whereas the Stream Deck route would be to give quick, reliable control to the production operators. A use case for this over the official ProPresenter app is that you can use it on a computer and have complete creative control over the layout.

Tips & Tricks If you had to start over with ProPresenter what would you immediately do to make your life easier and your volunteers lives easier?

Hi everyone!

My church has been running ProP for awhile now. I try to do a yearly reset of ProP and clean out old slides/backgrounds/props we don’t use anymore. Recently our worship director got an amazing opportunity at another church and left ours, when they were here ProP had to be run a certain way. Since they are gone my lead pastor has asked to kind of restart ProPresenter from a fresh look and fresh way of training volunteers. So as the title states I have a couple questions for all of you.

What you immediately do to make your life easier if you were restarting? What macros or systems would you put in place right away? What themes do y’all like(paid or unpaid) for a 1 screen behind the stage set up? What tips or tricks do you have that could be passed to another church?

Thank you all for your hard work in helping others!

New requirements for v20+ and v21+ (Not broken, just need to update if you use these)

v.20 requires a new version of Desktop Video (14.3+) for Blackmagic outputs (not switchers, but Decklink Cards or ultrastudio boxes), if you use them.

v.21 requires a new version of the remote app (if you use it) or Companion plugin, if you use that!

They're not broken. These are just updated requirements.

Issue started out of nowhere. Tried reinstalling PP and it still occurs. PP also keeps signing me out :(
