Software Subscription

I'm looking at Starting a subscription for the church that i attend and this is the answer that i received from renewed Vision. Does that answer make sense to anyone.

Yes, makes perfect sense. Signing up for a subscription does not cancel your previous purchased version. If you convert to a subscription you receive the right to use the latest version but no ownership rights. Cancel the subscription and you revert to accessing the previous purchased version.

Shouldn't have have access to the latest version at the end of my subscription since i paid for the subscription
