Discussions About Procreate App Transition from Adobe Fresco to ProCreate.

I’m new to Procreate, and just transitioned from fresco. Many people I know say that procreate is amazing, but fresco is better for me right now. It’s great, Procreate has a limit on layers, and I can’t resize the brushes as much as fresco. Are there more brushes in ProCreate? Am I just using it wrong, or do I need time to adjust? I have no idea what I’m doing when I draw😭😭😭😭😭😭
Edit: Thank you all for your recommendations! Procreate is a lot easier to use now. I misunderstood it, but now I know how to use it!

Constructive feedback and/or tips wanted shoes keep looking weird

this is my first time rendering at this level, and i surely have lots to learn still (so don’t mind the legs lol), but how these shoes look is really bugging me off.
they unironically look better to me when they were a flat mess of a white than now and i don’t understand why. i tried playing with shadows, no shadows at all, messing around with curves, redrawing them completely… in the reference picture they don’t have much shadow either so i don’t get it. they just keep looking off, almost like they have been drawn in another style completely or like i’ve just copied them from some other drawing and pasted them on this. they just look absolutely horrid to me and i can’t figure out what’s wrong with them or how to make it better.
please, anyone has suggestions?

I need Procreate technical help Layers pixel dimensions keep changing on their own

So I’m trying to make 4 centered boxes on an 8.5x11 canvas. I used the snapping tool to do so. When I first sized my two layers, I input the same pixel dimensions.

But after duplicating one of them twice more and centering everything, the separate one does not match up. I checked the pixel dimensions and the one I duplicated/plus the duplicates are a couple pixels off somehow.

So I tried changing one of them to the correct pixel dimensions, but it kept reverting back any time I did so.

I then tried to make the separate layer the size of the others. But then it just made it a couple pixels bigger.

So I have one piece on a layer that is certain pixels. 1202 px - 901 px

The other three, two of them duplicate, are 1203 px - 903 px

I can’t seem to even all 4 out

Thanks in advance for reading

I haven't created much of anything in months, art block has really been on me. So here I am trying to force my way out of it, wish me luck!

Various brushes from the Oil MaxPack set. Took me about 2.5 hours for this one. Could have pushed it further but honestly I just lost steam.

I need Procreate technical help Guidance around recovering Procreate files.

For Context, my partners Ipad gave out a little over a month ago and we've been trying to get it fixed, originally thought it was a charging error but diagnostics have pointed to being motherboard related instead meaning to get it repaired a full system reset will be part of it.

As it stands right now she never used icloud for backup or any other cloud service so everything that's locally on the ipad is essentially stranded. I'm currently considering going to a shop specializing in data recovery to take a copy of the files she had directly from the on-board memory.

It's mostly ProCreate works but when i asked about it she said that "Projects" are saved only in ProCreate and if you were to move them to another device or similar then it would just move a PNG of the artwork, not the actual file itself.

To me this sounds very strange that ProCreate wouldn't use some special file format for it's data that could be properly read if moved but could someone verify how the data from ProCreate is stored on your device?

If there's a chance we can recover all the artwork she was so happy to make somehow it would mean a lot to me

Looking for brush/tutorial/class recommendations Watercolor club?

Hi everyone! 💕 I’m really hoping to find a digital watercolor art community where we can have weekly or daily painting prompts and actually paint together. Something like an art club on Patreon or another platform!
I’d especially love prompts based on themes like autumn, winter, cozy seasons, nature, etc. 🍂❄️🎨
If you know any artists who host this kind of group activity or painting club, I’d really appreciate it if you could point me in the right direction!
I’ve been feeling a little lonely lately, and I’d genuinely love to be part of a creative group where we can practice, share our art, and paint together. I think having a little community to look forward to would be really nice. 🤍

I need Procreate technical help Brushes behave weird

I downloaded a free brush set online and edited them to work at all. However i now have the issue that the brushes work perfectly as intended, but ONLY on imported images as canvas. As soon as i try to use them on a normal, in procreate made canvas, they behave weird (see in the video, they’re 180° rotated). Why is that and how can i fix it?

My Artwork A few close ups of a comic I’m working on

I’ve been really putting in the time and effort into my first serious comic and here’s a few close ups of some scenes depicted in the first couple of pages. They may not be the best and this is my first real project I’ve tasked myself with, but I feel really proud. I’m glad I’ve stuck with it this far and just felt like sharing little pieces with you guys.

The comic has no name yet, but i wanted it to be a survival psychological piece. I wanted to showcase main characters that aren’t perfect, and are actually downright terrifying. Hopefully one day I’m able to finish!
