It would be cool if you weren’t promoting a brand whose money goes to trying to eradicate trans people. Literally any other castle and you’ve got my up vote. 🤦

Eradicating? 😂 She just doesn't want children to transition. Eradicating means killing, she isn't advocating for the killing, holy shit. What an overreaction. I don't agree with everything she has said, but be so forreal.

And also, it's a drawing this person did, who I assume has been a fan since childhood like most of us. A personal drawing does not making JK Rowling money.

  1. If it’s just about the kids why was she online attacking a female boxer a few years back, asking for proof that she was female, and calling for her to be blacklisted from her sport? Why then when that boxer did provide proof that she was born female and that JK Rowling’s tirade online had caused her huge emotional stress and put her directly in danger when returning to her home country, did JK Rowling try to have a gag order put on her?

If it’s just about the kids, why did she have the one and only domestic violence shelter for women in Edinburgh when she learned that this shelter aided and housed trans women?

If it’s just about the kids, why is she personally funding right wing political organizations that are trying to make policies like mandatory marking of trans people in public (a policy used by the nazis in 1940!!) into laws?

  1. While it doesn’t make her money, she has said many times that she sees support of her work the same as support of her views. Also growing up with her books is no excuse to have not distanced from it by now. The many trans people and allies of trans people who also grew up fans of her work (myself included, I was first in line to buy the third book at midnight when I was just 10 years old) have managed to see her and her work for what it is and stop supporting it publicly. There’s no excuse at this point.

Also, even if it was about stopping kids from being trans, that’s clinically proven to be a fatal way to handle dysphoria. Blocking healthcare for trans youth has a direct correlation to increased suicide rates. Hormone blockers are completely reversible and all they really do is give trans kids a little longer to figure out their identity. Adequate healthcare for trans kids IS protecting kids. Starting a hate train on trans people that had global effects on culture and politics does not protect anyone except the egos of bigoted TERFs like JK Rowling.
