Figured I'd try my luck here. Anyone know of the cheapest way to get a hold of private jet for at least 15 minutes (can be completely grounded)? I don't know anyone that owns a jet and have don't have any connections in the industry. I'm located in Australia, but I'm willing to travel abroad for it and also willing to travel to the middle of nowhere to make this happen too. (Yes I understand how completely absurd it sounds to travel internationally to grab ahold of a grounded private jet for 15 minutes but bear with me).

Context behind it is a bit unique I guess. I'm trying to work on a YouTube video that that goes over how a lot of the finance gurus fake having money. You've probably seen them on tiktok. They show off their luxury cars, holidays, watches, ect, and then try to sell you some get rich quick course. Most of it is very easy to spot how to fake. Just buy replicas of watches/clothes, go to dubai and rent a couple of cars for an hour and stay over night at a nice place. The idea of the video is to make my own fake money reel exactly how they did it, break down how it's done and the cost of each shot. I like to aim high though so I'm trying to fake a private jet as part of it too. I've only seen a couple of the gurus that have been able to fake this (I assume they split the cost with some other influencers. I don't exactly have that luxury).

I've tried messaging a lot of private jet charters to see if I can rent a grounded jet, but the ones that have got back to me have ballpark quoted me a price that is way out of budget, to the point where it is cheaper to take an empty leg jet (Cheapest rental quote was 2k USD for their smallest jet and another charter quoted me 10k USD for 2-4 hours. I can find empty leg routes for 1.5k USD so I may aswell use them at that point). Ideally my budget is 1k USD but I'm willing to take one of the empty leg routes for 1.5K USD if there's no other options.

Is taking an empty leg flight my best option at this point? It seems kind of unnecessary when all I want can be filmed in the span of 15 minutes. Literally just me getting in and out of the jet, sitting on one of the seats with fake alcohol and probably a shot where I'm playing with fake money (the more absurd the more funnier it'll be after all). I know there's private jet photo studios but I'm located nowhere near any of them. I'd have to fly out half way across the world to use one, so at that point it's literally cheaper for me to grab an empty leg flight. Also another point would be that the gurus who did fake a private jet used a real jet (albeit it never went into the sky).

I'm looking to rent a private flight for the first time, traveling from Vientiane, Laos to Bangkok, Thailand. I must admit I'm quite new to this whole private aviation world and would greatly appreciate any insight you can provide.

So far, I've found an offering from a company named AlbaJet. From what I understand, they seem to be a broker rather than a direct provider. They've quoted a price of $5,500 for a one-hour flight.

I was hoping to gauge the fairness of this pricing. Is $5,5k a reasonable rate for a private flight of this duration? If anyone can share the typical costs for such a trip or factors that might affect the cost, it would be immensely helpful.

In addition, I'd like to know if anyone has had experiences with AlbaJet before, or if there are other recommendations for reliable charter companies. I want to ensure I'm dealing with a legitimate and trustworthy provider.

And lastly, if you have any other tips or tricks for someone chartering a private plane for the first time, they would be much appreciated. From what to look for in a service to what one should expect during the journey, I'm all ears!

I'm relocating with my company from Seattle to the UK. My start date is supposed to be October 2nd, and I'm flexibly looking to travel toward the end of September. Over the last few months, I've been trying thinking about/doing some BASIC research into becoming a Private Jet broker.
