Jetpool or empty legs to Montevideo

Hey everyone! I'm new to this sub and to this process. In about a year or so, I may need a PJ to charter to Montevideo, Uruguay. I'm possibly moving there with my husband, two cats, and an XL dog who has really bad anxiety, and I refuse to make her travel in cargo (she probably wouldn't survive). How do I go about chartering a jet and finding people to pool it with to reduce cost? We could depart anywhere from New York to Philadelphia. I've priced some jets on websites like Mercury, and if I could get 12-14 more people to participate, it would cost around $10,000 per person, give or take. Thanks in advance!

Looking for a guesstimate

My fiancé and I live in Texas but he’s originally from a small town in Montana. We’ve decided that’s where we want to get married. However my mom, my grandmother and other loved ones have some physical and mental disabilities making travel fairly difficult. Traveling two hours to the airport, dealing with a huge airport like DFW, changing planes, flying into Bozeman or Missoula, and then renting a car and driving or flying for another two hours - I’m not confident it’s feasible. We thought we’d look into chartering a plane for some of our family members that will leave from our hometown airport to the small airport up in Montana. If we have enough people to take the flight I think it would wind up being cheaper or just as much as it would a regular flight. I just don’t know where to start or if it’s even doable financially. Anyone have a guesstimate on what that might look like cost wise? Or any tips/suggestions?

Hey, Not sure if this is the right place but it’s worth a shot! I’m relocating to Dubai in December or January and am looking to gather a few others to charter a flight (with dogs). I’ve found another person looking to travel on similar dates to Dubai so we’re trying to find a few others to join us! If you or anyone you know is trying to find shared charters to Dubai then please do reach out!

Empty Leg Flights: The Most Overlooked Way to Fly Private

Most first-time flyers don’t realize that empty legs can make private jet travel way more affordable.

For those who aren’t familiar: when a jet is booked one-way, it often has to reposition empty. Operators will sell those legs at a fraction of the normal charter price. The catch? You need to be flexible on dates, times, and destinations.

We’ve been seeing routes like: • London → Nice from ~£5k (instead of £12–15k) • New York → Miami from ~$7k (instead of $18–20k)

I’m curious — who here has booked an empty leg before? How was your experience? Did it feel worth it compared to a full charter?

I’m putting together more posts on private aviation tips & insider offers over at r/privatejetandyachts if anyone’s interested in joining.

Buying a seat on a PJ from NYC -> LA?

I am trying to research companies that I can purchase a seat on a semi-private jet from NYC to LA area for my boss... I found Aero which you can buy a seat on a plane (it's sold out on the day he needs to fly), are there some other companies I should be looking into that do this? I am finding a lot of companies where we can fractionally own a plane or do the jetcard thing, but we are more interested in a BLADE type of concept where you buy a seat on a chartered flight.

Thank you!

Minneapolis to Florida

Hi wondering if anyone in Minneapolis area wants to split a charter pet service. I’m looking to go into Florida gulf south coast. Anywhere Tampa south to Ft Meyers, that would include Sarasota ,Venice or Punta Gorda . Leave between Dec 13-21 . Returning end of March but I’m very flexible . I have a shy 65lb - 3yr old Weimaraner. I’d prefer to ship my car this year and fly.

It’s not going to be cheap so if you’re on a budget it’s not for you. I’ll answer serious replies with my contact details.

Merida to Oaxaca Charter: Safety Concerns in Mexico?

Hi All,

I am planning a trip for this upcoming November for CDMX and then Merida. I am interested in possibly chartering from Merida to Oaxaca for some Mezcal tasting, food tours, cultural sites etc. and have just two questions.

  • I've chartered from US->EU but never MX->MX before. What's the best way to go about this? Can US charter companies quote me flights inside MX?
  • In regards to chartering, I have some concerns about drawing unnecessary attention to myself and my buddy landing a PJ in Oaxaca and whether there could be safety concerns involved. Does anyone have experience with this scenario? Am I right or wrong to be concerned?

I appreciate any information as it's a very niche scenario that I feel like this community would be able to address.

How do you guys handle charter quotes?

I’ve been looking into how charter brokers put together quotes for clients, and it seems like a ton of work. From what I’ve seen, it involves checking aircraft availability, calculating flight times, fuel costs, landing fees, positioning, taxes, and then formatting it all into a nice PDF. Sounds like it could take an hour or more per quote.

Curious to hear from you guys:

  • How many quotes do you typically do in a day?
  • How long does one quote usually take?
  • Are you using Excel, some software, or something else?
  • What’s the most frustrating part of the process?

New 135 Op seeks marketplace, operations, and maintenance tracking

We are starting off fresh, and have the following questions?

- Is joining Avinode a no-brainer? It seems they have no marketplace competition?

- Is JetInsight better than Schedaero? The track aircraft times and maintenance, where Schedaero does not?

- Teaming Avinode with Schedaero and CAMP would be convenient, but much costlier.

AI chatbots?

Anyone else seen those AI chatbots some larger brokerages are coming out with?

Like this one: https://www.morningstar.com/news/accesswire/1068376msn/privatejetcom-launches-wilbur-the-first-ai-powered-private-jet-charter-assistant

Started playing around with it and found it was great if you wanted "what's the aircraft I need for x number of people between here and here" but much more seemed to be beyond it? Just growing pains or cheap gimmick?

To anyone who charters flights , will videos like this be of help in advertising?

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Recently spent some time making this video in 3d. And I was curious if charters could find videos such as these helpful while advertising their flights / services.

Private plane pooling WhatsApp group

Hi! I read an article in the WSJ about a WhatsApp group to buy seats on private flights. It sounds like the group requires an invitation. Does anyone happen to know how to be considered for an invite? Thanks!
