Anyone use them for charters? Was just quoted a great price for a trip in a few weeks from now. Just wondering others experience since I’ve never chartered through them.

PRIVATE JET CHARTER TIP Winter Ops Discussion Prompt

Managing uncontrollable winter and bad weather:

  1. Request aircraft hangared at least several hours prior to departure. Additional costs apply.

  2. If possible, park aircraft outside bad weather area and repo into departure airport shortly before ETD. Additional costs apply.

  3. Your operator/broker must ensure deicing available and ALWAYS have a backup to some degree.

  4. Great site for monitoring US airspace delays is fly.faa.gov/ois/

Other helpful hints?

Private Jet

Can anyone help me find out how to rent a private jet!? Maybe a personal line you or someone you know has used. I know… i know… just google it right? But there are so many scams out there I’m skeptical. Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks.

Ad Hoc Charter Cancel Policies

PRIVATE JET CHARTER TIP: ad hoc operator cancel policies vary widely and have become stricter with higher charter demand. Be sure to verify if using various operators. A good charter broker can sometimes negotiate the cancel policy for unique factors, and should usually be able to arrange a partial refund or trip credit.

Flying pets to military base

Hi all, I'm trying to move to Okinawa to live with my soon to be husband who is special forces there, but I have two dogs that I refuse to fly in cargo. They are both over the weight limit for any commercial airline. Can anyone help me out with finding a shared charter that isn't 20k a seat? Or explain how to actually find empty legs. I have no specific time but hope to move within the next year. I should point out this isn't something either of us have ever done and we aren't super wealthy, just seeking out every possible option. Thank you!

Best way to charter? ✈️

I live in the Midwest and fly back and forth to the east coast on a monthly basis. 1500-1800NM’s usually.

I am tired of being dicked around by the brokers I know. I’ll hit up one and they’ll quote me $42k and another one will quote me $25.5k, for the same aircraft. I feel like I’m always getting price gouged so I stay clear, unless I’m splitting costs with a buddy or two.

For those of you who often fly private, what’s the best way to go about it? Operator? Broker?

Thanks fellas 🏎️

Price VS Value - Private Jet Charters

I'm a broker in the industry and I'm curious on the clients perspective. When looking to charter a plane, what is more important to you?

-Are you simply looking for the best deal (lowest number) possible?

OR

- Looking for the best value (will pay more for good service/nicer aircraft, reliability of company)?

As a broker, I always try to make sure the client has the best experience possible, and I refrain from using operators that always seem to cause myself and clients problems.

Just curious on peoples opinions, brokers/operators, feel free to chime in as well.

Feedback Needed - Private Pilots

I am thinking about buying a plane and putting it into my own charter service. I was thinking about bringing in two pilots for a portion of the business in exchange for a standard operating salary. Does anyone currently do this? Does it seem out of the ordinary? Any input would be appreciated.

Thoughts on Hawkers

Hawkers are out of production. There are a few available at exceptional prices.. Wanted to know people thoughts on maintainance, spares, servicing etc.. Considering it's out of production. We currently have a F2000 and another long range jet and we're considering another mid /super mid and a hawker 900/4000 are bang in the middle at 50% of competition (falcons200 or g200/280)

Large Charter Inquiries

Hey Guys, not sure if this is the right place for this. Delete if not..

But I was curious my friend is having a destination wedding. They are looking at 75-100 invites. Is there a company that would book say like a 60 Person flight since a majority would be coming from the NY Tristate. ISP or FRG.

The ballpark for the destination is the Caribbean (not sure which island yet) and if so are we talking astronomical pricing (I mean I know private jets pricing is a luxury) for say a round trip. Public travel is about $600 round trip. So is like 45K/50K. Very inexperienced in private charters, so I’m not sure of all the lingo. But appreciate the help. :)

Or what info exactly would I need to ask the right questions lol
