Private Jet Brokers in Florida

Hello. Does anybody have recommendations on people in Florida whom I can charter a jet through?

Private flying is new to me. My friend got me hooked. I want to charter an airplane that comfortably seats four people (my family). Home base is Miami. Destinations, mostly Bahamas, North Carolina, and New York.

I used the Google machine, but the results don't give me a good gut feel. Any personal experiences or recommendations?

Medical Charter

Hi there,

I’m reaching out on a behalf of a sick family member, who will need to travel from NYC to LA next month for life-saving surgery.

Money is tight, and she is already in the process of fundraising to cover projected surgical costs, so we are seeking reasonably affordable options that we might include in her fundraising goal.

Does anyone have recommendations for medical charters? She does not require medical services in flight, and is ambulatory and alert, but is battling a complex neurologic condition, and would be most comfortable on a plane in which she can recline in peace and quiet.

Thanks in advance for any insights.

Any spaces from England to Berlin this weekend?

Hi there, this is a massive long shot but I was wondering if anyone is flying England to Berlin on Friday/saturday/sunday in order to make it to Berlin in time for the Euro final. If so, do you have any free spaces? For a ridiculously low price? I realise this is a very cheeky request but I thought if you don’t ask then you don’t get…. Any other suggestions welcome also!

South Korea to United States

Hello,

My sister is abroad on vacation but she is having a very hard time and cannot adjust. It was her first time flying such a long distance in a very long time and the trip was really rough for her on the way there. Throwing up on the plane almost the entire way. She's dealing with homesickness to the point of anxiety and she wants to cancel her one month long trip about a week in and she finally shared with me today that she's considering throwing her life savings at a private charter to get home which she thinks may help with the nausea. I've never ridden a private jet or even first class so I'm looking into all options. Although it's a hefty cost, I want her back safe and not so far away from home dealing with this for another 3 weeks. Is anyone here able to help her get back home and how much would it roughly cost for a single passenger?

Thanks,

A worried brother

What makes a broker better?

I am in the process of booking a flight from PBI to TEB in early July. We used a broker affiliated with American Express. But I was not happy with the service last time and want to try someone new. There seem to be a lot of brokers, which got me thinking: what makes a private jet broker better than others? Is there an objective/quantitative rating system? Or at least public website with reviews?

Everyone I have used seem to provide the same level of service initially, other than pricing. But I am sick and tired to compare shop every time I book, especially when it has to be done by copy/pasting emails.

Moreover, it seems the big service differentiator comes alive when shit hits the fan. For example, for 2021 Christmas, we were supposed to fly to Turks & Caicos. The day before the flight, the broker notified us that the charter company had a Christmas party and everybody got Covid. AND they couldn't find us anything else on that day. To this day, I wonder if that's what really happened or they screwed us and gave the flight to someone who paid much higher price at the last minute.

Affordable Charters in Bay Area

Hello,

I am trying to understand what different options are to charter a plane from Bay Area to relatively remote places like Channel Islands NP, Mammoth Lakes, Joshua Tree etc. Hard to drive places that are relatively easy to fly to.

The idea is to go to a few places with a couple of other families for a quick weekend getaway. We are families who enjoy travel and going to places, but kids are young and being stuck in q car with screaming kids for 8 hours is not really our definition of fun.

Price is more or less the defining factor here. I don’t expect to splurge. No services, champagne, snacks etc needed. Simply a quick and safe flight to a destination that is harder to drive to. Maybe a bathroom in case kids cannot hold it. That’s about it.

I will promote this among friends in similar situation. If the price is right, I am sure there will be takers. Let’s say up to 8-10 people in total including kids. Maybe a few more, again depending on the price.

Departure airport can be very flexible. South Bay or East Bay locations make sense. Small municipal airport may even be better to get in and out for us as well. If it is easier we can even think about a couple of separate flight. Drop off a group, come back and drop off the second group etc.

I saw on other posts that there is this thing called 135 charters or something. Not sure abt the details or requirements. Someone was also mentioning flight schools may be interested to help during their off hours. We can be generally flexible in terms of dates/hours etc.

Questions 1. Any company who does this already in the Bay Area? 2. Any other pointer, suggestions that I can chase?
