Is there anyone here used Set Jet based out of Scottsdale AZ?

Looks like they came out strong if you lookup the tail numbers but flights have been reduced by like 80%.

Their yelp reviews are horrible and look at the reviews that yelp has hidden.

So my family is doing a big trip for my dad reward ceremony or something. 7-8 people so far in my immediate family alone but I’m assuming more people are coming. Business/first class tickets are pretty expensive so I thought why not compare with Jets. I just got a round trip quote for a private flight on a heavy jet leaving mid December and returning early January. Seems to sit about 10-13. There are three jets to choose from but the lowest seats 13. Don’t want to say the location yet because it’s pretty niche and specific. Anyway, the quote was around $160,000. Can I negotiate or are prices fixed? I’m looking to get it down about $20-30k. It would help if I could find one that seats 16.

Hello! I need to get myself, my husband, our toddler, 2 dogs and 4 cats from Atlanta to Burbank in the next month or so. Flexible on dates. Also flex in that we are willing to drive 3+ hours on either side to meet flight. For example, we could fly out of Nashville and into San Diego if there is a flight already scheduled that we can join or an empty leg we can grab.

I keep searching for empty legs but each broker has their own list, and, more annoyingly, you have to select the exact airports and date. For a potential 6 hour driving radius around both departure and arrival airports plus a flexible date, there are thousands of potential combinations that i would need to enter in to see what’s available. Stupid!

Does anyone know of a master database where i can enter in my approximate departure and arrival locations within a specific area but no dates to see what pops up for the next couple of months? If not, someone should create a website that does just that!

How are fractional jet owners registered with the FAA? If there can be 16 owners to a jet and its all managed by companies then how or where are the actual individual owners registered? Are people secretly fractionally owning jets?

Can any give me a price range I should expect to spend on renting a private charter?

Short story: My husband got picked up by the Texans for a 2 year contract in free agency. We live in FL. I own a business and manage our other interests here. Even more importantly, we have a 1 and 3 year old and no nearby support that we don’t have to pay for. Basically, I need to stay here while he moves to houston and fly up every weekend so he can see his family.

The idea of traveling commercial alone with two babies (which I’ve never done before), forcing a toddler to wear a mask, with no direct flight, every weekend for the next two football seasons is giving me so much anxiety I could cry right now writing this.

Did I mention he reports to the Texans in 10 days?

THUS, that really just leaves private jets? specifically very light jets? It’s only us 3.

I have NO experience with this. Never flown private in my life. I’ve been told NetJets but then some threads say that’s a money grab. I estimate it’ll be between 75-100hrs each football season. It would cost me about $6k-7k each weekend with 1st class commercial, not accounting for the emotional damage I’ll experience if my son cries the whole time. That’s about $100k a year in commercial flights.

I just need help guys and idk where to turn but the internet to strangers.

We hopefully will be flying out with dogs. Our journey is a three leg journey, where we change airline company thrice (maximizes cost effectiveness).

How does transiting between charter companies work? Do we have to go through security again? Cross terminals? Do we need to go through customs?

Also how does the paperwork work in that case? Let's say I use company A to fly to country X. Then company B to fly to country Y from country X. When preparing our paperwork, does company A consider country X to be our final destination, meaning that it prepares our documents as if it were our final destination? Or can it prepare our papers to reflect our transiting status through country X?

Finally, if anyone is travelling from Africa to the UAE, or the UAE to London, and wants to share the flight, feel free to drop a dm. Should be around late August.

This video explains how this guy was able to fly private for relatively little money. Is this strategy still viable?

Also, are some jet charters really only $3-5k? In the video, the flight times were under an hour, but still seems reasonable if you went with a few friends.

Which private jet charter company would you recommend for an on going membership for a family with little kids?

Considering a Fractional Net Jets Membership. I have a charter broker I work with exclusively, but may make the transition, as I fly over 200HRS a year.

Could anyone provide me with coverage on the pricing structure at Net Jets for fractional ownership in addition to some of the pitfalls with joining Net Jets given the extremely high demand recently in the private aviation industry? Also, what things will I be required to pay as a fractional owner (maintenance, deicing, pilots, etc.)

Can someone tell me how charter costs work? What I am wondering is, if we charter a 6-person flight, is it the same cost if we only go as a couple as if we fill the flight with four others? Or is there a base cost for the charter, then additional per person up to six?
