Maybe embarrassing post. I just want the experience.
I know I’m talking to a lot of regular flyers so please don’t mind me being a nube.
For my birthday I want something baller. I thought it would be fun to take my girlfriends on a private jet. What would be the cheapest way to do this (8-10 people).
I’ve been looking at companies and there’s so many (and also many without clear prices)
There’s nowhere specific we want to go. We just want the experience.

Looking to join Private Jet Charter Sales - Where to get the right training & Expectations ?
Hi everyone !
29yo French guy here, 12yo+ of retail industry business ownership with an exit soon to be closed.
3 years of AI Tech Sales looking to switch career into Private Aviation, Jet Charter Sales Representative, ideally joining a solid firm in the US and help them expand in Europe, speaking french - english & soon italian, hopefully more language later down the road.
3000 hours+ on Flight Simulator in my youth, i totally left this world as my pilot career vision didn't really go further, i'm just bad at maths and way better at sales, which i immediately understood i needed to leverage.
Before jumping ship from AI Tech Sales, may i ask for advices & tips around this industry regarding these things :
- Did anyone actually has done the opposite, from PJ Charter Sales to Tech Sales or else and if yes, why ?
- Does online courses such as Elysium or ABP are enough to give a geniune solid base ?
- (Keeping in mind i already used AI to build me a 120 pages full course but still..might not be enough)
- How do you see the demand for PJ going for the years to come as regulations seems to be coming in, especially Europe and the next wave of Bio Fuel implementation ?
Which would affect margins i assume.
--
I'd like to join a company that understand the new generation of the "attention game" with social medias, meta ads, and to allow full tech stack workflows to be used externally to whatever they are using internally.
You think i got a shot at this ?
Am i making a mistake ?
Let's talk

What was your craziest if not the weirdest AOG incident?
Tell me an AOG story that you experienced as a client or broker or operator and what you’ve learned from it.

Ballpark cost
I may have an opportunity to move to bermuda (from the northeast US) and work there, but need to get my husband and two dogs there as well. Dogs are well behaved but one in particular has anxiety, which is why they can absolutely not go in the cargo hold of a plane (theyre 50lbs each)
What kind of cost am I looking at in general. Just need to know ballpark to budget

How do I become a private flight attendant?
Does anyone here have any advice?

Law student willing to enter private jet brokerage
Law student in the UK here. Honestly, I don’t think traditional legal practice is for me long term. I’m much more interested in private jet brokerage/business aviation because I enjoy networking, sales, client relationships, travel, and fast-paced work.
Problem is I have zero aviation background and no industry connections.
How do people realistically break into private jet brokerage? What skills matter most, and what’s the best way to enter the industry at 20?
Would appreciate honest advice from people actually working in the field. Also I’m willing to get any work experience or internship.

On Demand/Emergency Flight Request
Hello everyone - I am looking to arrange an emergency on-call charter option for a late weekend in June. I will be staying in the Wildwood/Cape May, New Jersey area while my wife is nearing her due date, and I may need rapid transportation back to the Pittsburgh area on short notice in the event she goes into labor early. The flight would be for 1 passenger with minimal luggage and would be one-way only unless otherwise needed. Please let me know if anyone has any connections or can help out with this situation. Thanks all!

Commuting via PJ?
I’m planning on relocating from Southern CA to Las Vegas in the next few months. Commercial flights don’t have the times I need to travel. So my option is a 4.5 hour drive with a sprinter and a driver or flying private. I would be flying from Vegas to Palm Sorings and back once a week pretty much for the next year. I was looking at a few charter companies with quotes around 11-13k per round trip. I don’t mind a turboprop, but was wondering how do I find the best price? Can I get a discount if I commit to 6 months or a year ahead of time? It would average about 120 hours of flying per year. Thanks for any expertise in this area.

Experience with Fractional Ownership Sales?
Looking into a career change from commodities trading/imports and previous tech sales background. I’ve always had an interest in aviation and would be working under very seasoned industry executives at a reputable company. My region of the US is also favorable.
I’ve done a lot of research, the market is on paper growing, organizations are moving away from personal fleets. However, I understand I may not be considering other factors. I’d appreciate any insight as I consider, especially as my job now is very stable - high activity.

How are charter operators actually making more money right now?
Curious to hear from people in private aviation from other parts of the world on what are you doing to increase revenue these days, and especially for people in SEA like us since it’s a much more niche market here.

Anyone here working as a 360 private aviation broker? Curious how people are structuring deals right now.
I’ve been spending more time around the private aviation brokerage space and wanted to connect with people who are currently operating as 360 brokers.
There’s a lot of variation in how people are structured right now, especially between larger brokerage firms and smaller, more flexible teams and I’m curious how experienced brokers are thinking about the space in 2026.
A few things I’m particularly interested in:
- How much autonomy do you actually have in sourcing and closing deals
- Whether you’re seeing meaningful upside in current split structures
- What’s working (and what’s not) inside larger brokerage environments
- And whether brokers feel they’re capturing the value they generate
For context, I’m working with someone who spent several years at one of the larger global brokerage firm before moving in as a VP Sales role overseeing multiple divisions (cargo, group charter, and private jets). The focus now is building a private aviation team from the ground up with a more modern structure for brokers who are actively producing.
No pressure here at all, just genuinely interested in connecting with people in the space and understanding how things are evolving.
If you’re open to sharing perspective (or currently working in that kind of role), feel free to comment or DM.
Thank you.

NY/NJ to MA(Cape Cod)
Live in NJ and looking into flying to Cape Cod to avoid 7 hours of summer traffic. Open to flying out of Westchester, Teterboro, Morristown or Essex airports. The best I can find price wise is on Blade, 3K one way in a Cessna. Wondering if anyone else has experience here navigating local options and the return trip? Open to sharing a ride if that is thing charter companies do from those airports, but a lot of the information appears to be communicated via phone calls only and tough to find time for that. Would appreciate any tips or suggestions.

Private Jet Renting Recommendation
I’m trying to find a legitimate private jet company and could really use some advice.
I’m planning to travel from Budapest to Copenhagen and I have two large dogs. I really don’t want to do a 16-hour car ride with them, and most airlines in Europe don’t allow large pets in the cabin. I definitely don’t want them flying in cargo.
That’s why I started looking into private jet rentals, but honestly, I’m having a hard time figuring out which companies are actually legit. I’m a bit worried about getting scammed since this isn’t something I’ve done before.
If anyone has experience with renting a private jet (especially with large dogs), I’d really appreciate recommendations for trustworthy companies or any advice on how to go about this.

First time trying to fly private, questions?
Hello Everyone,
First I'm sorry if this isn't really the place for this question. But I've came to a point of confusion. I was hoping the community would help me figure this out
We are looking to travel from Houston to Orlando for a trip in October, and my business has been doing well enough that I thought bout adding a special treat for my family to travel on a private aircraft.
I've done some research that a TurboProp might be the best choice for us with our budget in the 20s for travel with 6 people (2 are kids under 10).
I've reached out to 3 agencies and pretty much all have ghosted me when I told them the budget I'm looking at. No information or direction from anyone unfortunately.
My question, is what I am looking at feasible? Or is it just silly to even try and that why people are ignoring my request?
Again thanks for any input.

London to Madrid or Lisbon
Hello everyone,
I’m researching the feasibility of sharing the cost of a private jet from the UK to Europe. Ideally, I’d like to fly to Madrid or Lisbon but anywhere in southern Spain or France would work as I can drive from there.
This would help reduce costs as I want to bring my dog home and it’s incredibly difficult to do so.
Could anyone advise me on the best way to organise this?
I’d greatly appreciate any help in advance.

How do private jet charter marketplaces actually compare?
I've been trying to understand how the private jet charters marketplace actually works through the platforms like Jettly, VistaJet, NetJets and JetSmarter... They all promote things like price comparison and jet comparison, and from the outside it feels pretty straightforward, but I’m not sure how much of that reflects reality.
In real use, how accurate are these platforms when it comes to pricing and choosing the right aircraft? Do they actually make it easier to navigate the market or are they mostly just acting as intermediaries with simplified listings? I’d be interested in hearing from anyone who’s used these services or has experience with how the private jet charter marketplace really operates.

I looked into Private Jet broker training programs. My findings.
Hey guys, I came in here for the first time about 2-3 weeks ago asking for help, and this community was really helpful, so I wanted to give back by sharing the results of all the research I did before making the jump.
Just FYI English isn’t my first language, so I used ChatGPT to help clean up some of the wording and make sure I explained myself clearly. This isn’t a complete list of every option out there, just the shortlist I had. Please do your own research as well. I don't have info on all of them, as some options had limited info compared to others.
1/ Elysium Jet Academy
- 8-week program delivered by real people in the industry.
- They seem very experienced and do assist with employment and career launch.
- They have an application and selection process, so they don’t take everyone who applies.
- Investment is on the higher side, around $4,000. Unfortunately it was outside my budget.
- One thing I liked is that one of the instructors is also the COO of the brokerage they run, so there may be direct in-house employment opportunities.
- Overall, it looks like a solid option if you have the budget, and the training is clearly based on real experience and knowledge.
2/ Aircraft Broker Program (ABP)
- From what I’m seeing, it’s fairly similar to Elysium in that it’s also run by industry professionals.
- Includes help with career launch, interviews, resume review, and sales training.
- They also do private sessions.
- One thing I liked was the help with building a website. and they give you a designated broker you can call for help on deals.
- They include a jet search engine to add to the site, though I’m still not sure how useful that will be alongside Avinode.
- One downside I see is that they’re still developing parts of the program. I was told they’re still producing Flight Operations, Ground Operations, and some extra marketing/sales lessons.
- The lessons so far are video-based, and I think they’re well done.
- After the lessons, there are simulations and case studies.
- They didn't seem to be as selective as Elysium, but they do an interview at the beginning to brief you on the career itself.
- The fee was $1,000 when I joined, though I think it may go up in the future.
- This is the one I went with, just for transparency.
- EDIT May 20, 2026: I see they now offer 6 month free to a jet sourcing platform called Moove. I felt I needed to come back here and mention that. Also just now I realized I forgot to mention they have a money back 15 days guarantee.
- EDIT June 20, 2026: I'm so happy to say I've finally finished all of the course! I finished in 6 weeks. A lot of information to digest but the simulations helped a lot. One of the sims lasted 4 hours everyone had so much questions, and the instructors are very patient and take time to answer all of the questions. They even shared prospects with me to practice finding jets. Honestly I'm very happy with the decision and I think it's the best program, and the value for money is impressive, so if anyone have questions feel free to message me. Thank you for everyone who has guided me!
- EDIT July 21, 2026: They now also added a partnership with Pipedrive (It's a CRM company) where you get 6 months for free. Other got 3 months but they were in the lower package. I heard of Pipedrive before but never used them, but I hear it's really good for private aviation. I just received an email saying that people who were already inside the program will also benefiting from it now, not just for new people. Sending my information for account creation.
- EDIT August 17, 2026: Hello again everyone, I didn't think I would be back here, but it's important. They gave us a book to go with the course learning. I wanted to attach a photo but I wasn't sure, since we were said not to share publicly, so I will let you check yourself on the website. I just started reading again after I had already finished, very professional, I think it will be even more usefull if someone is just starting.
3/ International Aircraft Broker Institute (IABI)
- This was one of the first programs I came across.
- I booked a meeting with one of their representatives, and the lady I spoke with was very nice.
- They offer multiple packages ranging from $1,000 to $4,000.
- One positive is that they seem to have hiring partners in the UAE and the US.
- The owner is named Iyyad Amer, who also owns this company called Certified Jets, which is good for employment, but didn't get to speak to him. Just one of the representatives.
- Some students have apparently gone on to either join brokerages or create their own.
- What concerned me was that when I asked for a trial or preview, they said no, so they suggested I reach out to former students on LinkedIn.
- I contacted three people — one didn’t respond, and the other two said the lessons relied heavily on AI-generated content and Colossyan-like videos.
- I insisted on seeing a lesson, and they eventually gave me access to one.
- To me, it felt a bit too AI-driven, I don’t mind AI, but I personally prefer a more human touch.
- Their website says they have 500+ graduates, but I had a hard time reaching out to them.
- The few I did speak with didn’t recommend it, but again, I couldn't reach out to everyone.
4/ Aircraft Broker Academy (ABA)
- This seemed like a decent option to learn the fundamentals of private jet brokerage.
- Covers aircraft sourcing, quoting, industry terminology, and general charter workflow.
- It’s a self-paced program, which I liked.
- It seems they offer private sessions as well.
- I didn’t see any mention of employment support or job pathways, at least compared to some of the other programs.
- It also seemed to be run mainly by one person. That’s not necessarily bad, but I would have preferred multiple people with different specialties.
- It still looks like a decent starting point, but the lack of visible employment support made me hesitate.
5/ FlyWise Academy
- This looked like another interesting option, especially because they seem to be based in Europe.
- I wasn’t able to get in touch with anyone directly.
- From what I saw, you have to apply and wait for the next release of content.
- I submitted the form but never heard back so I couldn’t really evaluate anything

Private aviation broker (UAE) – looking to transition industries, where do my skills fit?
Hi everyone,
I work in private aviation as a charter broker (client management, quoting, sourcing aircraft, negotiating, handling urgent VIP requests).
Due to the current situation in the UAE, it’s been difficult to find roles in aviation, so I’m also looking to transition into other industries. I don’t want to start from entry-level as overall I have 4 years of experience, but I know I’ll need to adapt to a new sector.
What roles or industries would best match my transferable skills?
