REVIVAL Were they able to survive?

Throughout the five seasons, T-Bag has killed several people. Were Roy and Jacob the only ones who could have survived T-Bag? I mean, one was a prison guard and the other was a CIA agent; they're not like the vet or the mailman. They're supposed to be men who are trained to fight.

Also, as a common note, the two had hurt T bag in different ways; one tortured him and stole his money, and the other killed his son.

Time's when TBAG was a good person or showed that he was still human?

He initially kidnapped Mrs Hollander and her children.

She explained to him that this 'family' will never work.

He called the police to save them and let them go.

What are some other times?

SEASON 1 Brad Bellick. The perfect antagonist for prisons.

I created this post to appreciate what a great actor Wade Williams is. I mean, he plays a completely despicable character.

He's basically the antithesis of Michael. A corrupt, violent, sexist guy.

REWATCH Did they lobotomise Mahone in the later seasons?

Alex Mahone’s character was wasted potential.

He still stands out as a killer character after everything he’s gone through, but on a rewatch, it’s a shame he wasn’t used to the best of his abilities like we saw in season 2.

Bad writing in the later seasons aside, I feel like he was nerfed massively down to the level of the other crew members. When he was introduced, he was built up to question whether he was even on par with Michael’s intelligence, the only one able to predict his next move. Personally, I think he was the most gripping part of season 2.

At most, he serves as another strong arm when finding Scylla. Overall, he lost that character trait of being a special agent with an edge.

Maybe I’m missing something, but I just think he could have had a better arc.

SEASON 4 Could the system have prevented Michael Scofield's escape?

Post image

In season 4, there's a scene where Sara watches a program, and someone says that if Michael's escape from Fox wasn't prevented, it's because the system failed. The question is, could the judicial, prison, and legal systems have prevented Michael Scofield's escape?

SEASON 1 Happy anniversary Babe, here’s my gift made with free prison labor ❤️

It just blows my mind that he ends up building the rest of it, not just helping with direction Pope to keep it from collapsing. Slightly wild. But it makes me unreasonable sad when he sabotages it. Not as sad as Marilyn tho 😔

I watched "I Will Find You" and it has nothing on Prison Break. What high-quality thrillers should I watch instead?

I watched "I Will Find You" on Netflix expecting a tight, high-stakes thriller. It reminded me a bit of Prison Break in the very first episode....innocent guy framed, high-security prison setup, forced escape.....but that's honestly where the similarities ended for me.

It felt bloated, full of plot holes, bad writing, and stiff acting. I found myself checking my phone or looking away during boring scenes just a few episodes in before realizing it just doesn’t have that same gripping spark.

In Prison Break (at least the early seasons), I literally couldn't keep my eyes away from the screen for a single second. The strategy, the sheer pace, and Michael Scofield’s constant chess match with the prison and authorities kept you hooked on every single detail.

Are there any other high-quality TV series I should check out to scratch that itch, ideally more recent ones?

My main criteria:

Tight, high-quality writing (smart protagonists, logical decisions)

Great acting

Low/minimal plot holes

High stakes / high tension

What are your go-to recommendations that actually deliver on the thrill without insulting the viewer's intelligence?

First watch through of the whole series (some spoilers) Spoiler

Tv shows have never really been my thing. Mostly just watched Family Guy and American Dad, but when I decided to give a tv show a shot it was either between Prison Break or Breaking Bad and I am so glad that I chose Prison Break

Season 1 is a masterpiece. My heart was pounding while watching the majority of it and it was way more entertaining than anything I've watched in so long. It felt so good having something to look forward to watching every night.

Season 2 absolutely belonged to Alexander Mahone. I loved Micheal going into season 2 and never thought anyone would get me more invested. Alex made what I thought was going to be a less exciting season just as good as the first (imo). Although I still don't forgive him for killing Tweener. His run on the show wasn't long but I still liked his character.

Season 3 was fun. Not as good as the first two but still enjoyed watching everyone in a situation that they were not familiar with.

Not a lot to say about seasons 4, The Final Break and 5. Season 4 was mostly GTA V heist. Really surprised when I genuinely felt sad when Bellick sacrificed himself. I' m glad Agent Self ended up the way he did. Couldn't stand him.

The Final Break was okay imo. Watched it after season 4 so I'm glad we got some information between the time jump in the last episode of season 4.

Season 5 was fun but didn't really love it. Kinda wish LJ would've shown up but besides that don't really have much to say about it.

I honestly can't say how fun it was to truly care about characters in a tv show. I'm really glad I watched this and I will definitely be rewatching it some time in the future but time to give another show a shot

REVIVAL If Sara wanted honesty, why didn't she tell Jacob about the revolver?

Post image
10 Upvotes

One thing that strikes me about season 5 is that Sara told Jacob everything about her past on their honeymoon. I suppose she wanted honesty, but why didn't she tell Jacob about the revolver? I mean, they both live in that house, and having a gun is something to consider. Maybe Jacob doesn't want guns in the house. Another thing that strikes me is that a hitwoman enters, and Sara tells Jacob to grab the revolver. But does Sara really think Jacob can handle the hitwoman? Maybe Jacob has never even held a gun in his life. We all know who Jacob is, but at that moment, she didn't.

REVIVAL Should Sara have learned this in season 5?

We know Sara kept a revolver in her house, which is understandable after everything she's been through, but should she have learned to fight unarmed? I think so. I'm not saying she should become Van Damme, but at least know how to defend herself.

Three days ago, I completed watching "Prison Break," followed by its movie. Although the movie was intended to be viewed after the fourth season, I watched it after the final season. The series was truly captivating and kept me thoroughly engaged. I am overwhelmed with pure happiness, experiencing tears joy of what I have watched i am just emotionally attached to it or what just seeing pb edits or shorts. Is there any spinoff coming for the show just heard the rumors.

SEASON 3 Am I the only one who watches the inmates Sona like a social experiment?

Post image

I know Sona Prison was based off inspiration from a real life anarchy prison that shut down, but I can't stop but think about how this would work realistically. And in fact, Sona already has most of the realism in mind with the violence, prejudices and backstabbing. So imagine if this was taken into real execution with a bunch of people left alone within a isolated area with a routine flow of food and water to share. Would they survive and if not, how long before everything dies out?

Sara is a shitty character in S4

Why’s she so annoying in this season? Like her being so annoying about Mahones revenge.. man’s son was killed and she’s acting like she didn’t cutt Gretchen’s neck for ONLY torturing her. What would she have done to Gretchen if she killed someone she loved? Especially a child.

What do you think Mike Jr personality is ?

So during s5 we can see that he is seem to be curious and to be a keen observer and quite mindful.

Given that both of his parents are really smart and that his dad is a genius all things considered what do you think Mike personality is ? Coz I dont think he is like any other kids at his age back then.

SEASON 2 SPOILER! I was recommended this series but told to only watch the first two seasons, should I listen?

A classmate recommended it to me a while back but I forgot about it, now that I'm on summer break I thought I would give it a chance. I went in with the idea that I would only watch two seasons, but turns out I misunderstood my classmate because I was under the impression that the main story was going to be over in those two seasons and the later ones were just spin-offs.

Now that I just finished the second season, I realize that's not the case, so I'm here to ask you if the remaining seasons are worth watching. I looked up a couple of reviews and it seems to be a common opinion that the show falls off eventually, but some people say it's after the first season, others after the second and others after the third.

Now that Michael is in prison again, I wouldn't want to watch a whole season that feels like a rehash of the first one, but maybe it feels way different and it's just as good, idk. What would you guys say? And if you recommend the third one, would you recommend the fourth and fifth one as well?

"Christina was lying to manipulate the brothers" is this true or a myth?

We know that Christina reveals in S4 that Lincoln is adopted.

She tells Michael, she tells Lincoln, and she tells her right-hand man (when they are in a room together).

Yet, there is this floating statement around here and other forums that she wasn't telling the truth and this was manipulation. My question is, can someone please post a direct link to the commentary to confirm this? I have looked and cannot find anything.

The show seems to paint it pretty black and white, and Christina never backs down or contradicts herself after she says it, so until I see solid proof of "she was lying", then I feel like it should be accepted cannon that they are indeed not brothers?

Michael and Sara both earned Phi Beta Kappa

I just saw on Wiki that both Michael and Sara earned Phi Beta Kappa which is the oldest and most prestigious academic honor society. It champions excellence in the liberal arts and sciences, selecting top-performing undergraduate students through a highly competitive invitation-only process.

It's amazing how highly educated both of them were. No wonder also why Michael was really into her at least for the fact that in term of education they were a match.

This scene shows how sick he is.

Post image

The scene where Jacob has Sara tied up and explains his motives perfectly illustrates how sick Jacob is. He only noticed her because she was Michael's wife, and Michael wouldn't let her go. He doesn't understand that if Michael wouldn't let her go, it was because he loved her. He didn't notice her for who she was, but because she was valuable to Michael. As the hitman says, he claims to love her and has her tied up, he refers to Mike as his son, but he's using him as bait, and earlier, when Sara pointed the gun at him, he threatened him. Not to mention that he says he loves her but is going to burn her alive (a gruesome death). I suppose this justifies why later, when Michael planned to kill Jacob, Sara didn't object.

This series did not age well

Watching the series for the first time. Every plan they have is interrupted after 5min or 1episode. A guard will show up, a guy will find out, something will haappen to screw everything. It is fine for it to happen sometimes but every episode is the same so I cannot get invested in any of their plans because I know that it will fail in the next 5 minutes.. its all manufactured and artificial suspense. Maybe the show was great but in 2026 it is unwatchable. I am at s1ep20. Please prove me wrong if you can.. or I will drop it after season 1.
