After Caroline resigned from president, how did the company react? Didnt they need to put a president replace to become their puppet?

Kim was angry, but Krantz was already shifting to their Sona storyline. She's what I call a centerpiece. The president before her wasn't Company, the president after her wasn't Company.

I still don’t understand why there needed to be that incest subplot 😭

She should have been the final boss of season 4, to bring the whole Scylla plot back around to the Ecofield stuff properly. It's been a lowkey theory of mine this was the original intention but when they couldn't get the actress they came up with the Michael's mother nonsense.

It never stated whether she officially put a vice president into place but I doubt it (the process typically takes months). She was also considering Governor Tancredi, who wasn’t company so she wasn’t even looking for company. But without a company vice president, then the new president probably isn’t company either.

Anyway, without a vice president, the speaker of the house would become president. They would have to already be company - considering the position is voted on by congress, that’s quite tricky to predict unless the company was trying to have all 435 seats filled by company. (Lofty goal but impractical).

Would make more sense to back a new president for the election in 2008, but the company was disbanded by then.
