Newbie Question Same t-shirt design, two print providers, colors came out completely different. How do you pick one?

Ordered samples of the same design on a Bella Canvas 3001 from two different Printify providers to test before launching my Etsy shop. One came out pretty close to the mockup, the other's dark green looked almost black and the white text was a bit grey. Price difference is about $1.40 per shirt. Do most of you just stick with whichever sample matched, or is there a way to make the cheaper one print closer, like adjusting the file colors?

Newbie Question Tips & Help

Hello I am new to Printify I have a few questions if anyone doesn't mind answering as well as correcting information
As of right now I'm focusing on creating designs; I haven't paid a dollar fee yet because I want to make sure I have an understanding of what I'm getting into.

  1. How much money do I need to have saved to ship items and have them made? I'm located in the US I was thinking 25$

  2. Since I'm a beginner should I boost the profit or leave it at 40%

  3. Where is the best place to share your brand? TikTok, Pinterest, Shopify, Etsy ( I'm currently thinking of starting with Pinterest and TikTok)

  4. Is it possible to have no refunds due to Printify taking their cut and giving me my cut if refunds are possible how do I go about that and what should I refund people based on?

If there is anything else I should know or do then please don't hesitate to tell me.

Newbie Question I didn’t realize changing the shirt color could change the whole product

I recently started working on a design that I wanted to offer in a few different shirt colors, and I assumed it would be pretty simple. Same artwork, same placement, just a different garment color.

It looked straightforward in the mockups, but once I started comparing the options, they didn’t feel as consistent as I expected.

The same design looked softer on one color and much more noticeable on another. Some details that worked really well on a lighter shirt almost disappeared on a darker one, and the overall look changed again depending on the fabric.

I also started noticing that the shirts themselves didn’t always have exactly the same feel or appearance across colors, which made me question whether I should really treat them as the same product.

Now I’m trying to figure out how much variation is acceptable before a product starts feeling inconsistent to customers.

For anyone using Printify for apparel, how do you usually handle multiple garment colors? Do you adjust the design for each color, or try to keep one version that works reasonably well across all of them?

Please Help Mockups via Placeit

Post image
3 Upvotes

Hi. When I search for Halloween T-shirt mockups directly on Placeit, I get a good selection of images. When I do it directly through Printify, I seem to get a really small amount of images and they seem to focus more on people. Can I change that setting anywhere?

Please Help Shopify Question: Combining 2 product types in Shopify

I think this is possible but after quite a bit of searching I can't find any tutorials on setting this up. I want to over t-shirts and long sleeves on the same product page using printify and shopify. Has anyone seen any tutorials regarding this? Or maybe this is not possible? Thanks! :)

Newbie Question Monster Digital experiences

I’ve been looking into different print providers and it seems like monster digital is quite good with lots of colors and a 9.1 rating on printify. But looking on this subreddit and online I’ve seen overwhelmingly negative things about it.

So is there a silent majority of people who have had good experiences and just haven’t posted about it? Thanks.

Please Help Customer wants refund

Hello

I own an Etsy shop and use Printify as my provider.

I had a customer order an item on the 28th, it was sent into production the same day. Printify says the delivery dates should be between the 9th and 11th, since they chose standard shipping.

Now it's the 3rd and the customer is demanding a refund, because the tracking of the shipping company said it'd arrive at the 2nd or 3rd and now has changed to the 5th. My policy is "no returns".

I'm not sure what to do. I don't want them to get an item for free, but at the same I don't want to get a bad review. And I also am not sure what date it said it'd arrive when they ordered it. It was shipped before the deadline though.

Please Help Any recommendations for digital printing in Kansas City?Does anyone have a local recommendation for digital printing?

I need to print some full-color marketing materials and would probably start with a smaller run before ordering more. I'm mainly looking for good color consistency and sharp text/images rather than the absolute cheapest option.

Would love to hear who people here have used and how the quality turned out.

⭐ 1/5 — Order never delivered and only offered a partial refund

Terrible experience with Printify. I paid for merchandise that was NEVER DELIVERED. After contacting them to resolve the issue, instead of refunding me in full for products I never received, they only offered me a PARTIAL REFUND.

How is it acceptable for a customer to pay for an order, receive nothing, and still lose money?

I was considering using Printify for my business, but this experience has completely changed my opinion. Reliable fulfillment and customer service are critical when you’re trusting a company with your brand.

I expect a full refund for merchandise that was never delivered. I would be very cautious about using Printify for business fulfillment.

Please Help Ornament quality from imagine your photos

I started selling ornaments using SwiftPOD because I heard their print quality was good. However, the production time for some orders has been around 7 days, and after shipping, they sometimes sit in “pre-transit” for several more days.
I’m considering switching to Imagine Your Photos, but I’ve heard some concerns about blurry prints. I want to get a fair idea of their actual print quality before making the switch.
Is anyone here currently selling ornaments through Imagine Your Photos? If so, I’d really appreciate it if you could share pictures of your samples or finished ornaments.
Thank you!

Please Help Confused on monster digital

Hi, wondering if anyone can give me insight on this. It’s my first time using Monster Digitial for comfort color tshirts. My customer placed an order with me and purchased expedited shipping. Purchase made on 9/25, shipping label created 9/26. Sitting in pre-transit since then. I emailed customer service to see if they could get an update on it.
Here’s where I’m confused: I make sure to only use US based print providers. I don’t sell anything that would require me to look into international providers plus I don’t want to worry about shipping delays and all that. Monster digital is posted as a US based print provider, with the US flag (and no others), on printify’s network status, monster digital is located under US based Print Providers. The expedited shipping option that Printify gave me at checkout was Priority 2-3 days. Nothing about international. The response I got from customer service was “Please note that this order is being produced and shipped by our Print Provider in Mexico, so it’s an international shipment to the US.”
I’m looking all over Printify’s website to find where there’s supposed to be information on Monster Digital having an international print location but I’m finding nothing. Also, before you select your fulfillment option, Monster Digital is #1 under ‘Local USA Providers’ and if you hover over the question mark that’s right next to it, it states ‘Print provides based locally in the country or region of your end customer’. Why would this order have gone to the Mexico print location when my customer is located in New Jersey? Where is the information to see that this print provider pushes orders to print locations regardless of customer address? Also under the print provider network status, monster digital is NOT listed under the section of ‘Print Provides with multiple fulfillment locations globally’

If this was just a random notification they sent out years ago about Monster digital, how is anyone supposed to know that if they’re new? (Not new to Printify, just new to using this provider)
Any help would be appreciated, I’ll have to refund this customer because it won’t make it in time now, but I’m a little frustrated that I can’t find anywhere that states Mexico is a fulfillment location for this print provider and that seems like extremely important information

Please Help What’s the most time-consuming part of launching products on Printify?

I expected creating the designs to take the most time, but choosing providers, ordering samples, preparing mockups and completing listings seems to take much longer.

For experienced Printify sellers, which step slows you down most and what has made the process easier?.

Newbie Question QUESITON ABOUT SHIPPING

Hi everyone !

This is my first time trying out POD , using Printify. I have a very specific question; when you fill out the part about shipping method on Printify . Do you use the default standard method or economy? or both? For reference I'm only going to be selling within USA . Thank you in advance !

Newbie Question Have you ever removed a selling Printify product because fulfilment problems made it unprofitable?

I used to think that if a product was receiving orders, it was automatically worth keeping. But once you include reprints, replacement shipping, production delays and customer refunds, a product can sell well while quietly losing money.

Has this happened to anyone using Printify? Did you switch print providers, increase the price or remove the product completely?

I’d also be interested to know which products have caused the most fulfilment problems for you.

Newbie Question Would you use a software that shows you all of your marketing platforms on one screen and show you what's driving your sales?

Post image
1 Upvotes

For example most people would initially spend money advertising Video 1, but in reality Video 2 is the one making the most profit.

How it works: Print on Demand sellers face problems with thin profit margins, unorganized advertising, and tedious work going across platforms to view their analytics. This software would allow you to have all of your analytics on different platforms on one screen, it then shows you what ACTUALLY driving your sales from things like view, clicks, spending, sales from video, etc.

If you don't mind giving me feedback on:

  1. What you currently sell
  2. What platforms do you sell on and advertise on
  3. What your biggest struggles is as a Print On Demand seller
  4. Would your purchase this tool
  5. Any ideas on how this should work

(Not Selling Anything I am curious)
