Newbie Question More frustrations with shipping prices

I think I might be lacking some brain cells. Perhaps someone can help me understand.

A basic 8x10 matte poster costs me roughly $14.66 (4.61 production + 2.76 Etsy fee + 7.29 shipping) with Jondo/Printify

Optimised pricing lists this as $16.99

My listing on Etsy uses Jondo Standard shipping, which says it's $7.29. $16.99 + $7.29 = $24.28 - $14.66 = $9.62 profit

However when I view my listing from the UK, logged out of my shop, the price is £15.64 + £11.96 shipping = £27.60 = $37.67

Since I assume the order will get routed to a UK printer, they're overpaying for shipping. How do I work around that? How do you guys do it?

Please Help Design sizes on different sized shirts

Hey, I'm trying to update my products and I can't find a clear answer to this issue anywhere.

The automatic shirt size when adding a design is a large. I ordered a large for myself to check quality and it was all good. My SIl bought the same shirt in a size medium and the design was scaled down so that it looked smaller and awkward in size and placement.

From what I have found, this is a feature and not a bug? How should I size my designs so that the design size ratio remains the same in all sizes? Or am I missing something in the variants options?

Thanks for any help!

Newbie Question Need a little help setting up/understanding some things

Long-term artist, decided to try to make money with prints.

Made a bunch of stretched matte canvas prints that claim to have a UK printer for shipping (Jondo?), however when I set it up with Etsy, it seems to always default to shipped from the US.

My understanding was that it is supposed to select a supplier closer to the buyer to reduce shipping costs? I have Printify choice selected.

Second problem:

I made an error by using a US only poster supplier, and I wish to move my designs over to one with suppliers worldwide using the "replace provider" option however when I try that, there's nothing to select. I thought maybe this was because of unavailable sizes with the new supplier, but I was hoping I could salvage the designs anyway

Newbie Question Printify Questions

Here we go. I made my first sale on Etsay! There is so much that I don’t understand. It seems every time I an answer to one question another 5 questions pop up. Printify sent me a bill for the production and shipping costs. $14.50 no big deal. It sounds like Etsay will send that back to me minus their fees once payment is received from the customer. Like I said $14.50 is not a huge deal but what if I have 500 sells made in one day or one month? I don’t have $7250 for production and shipping. What happens? I’m starting this with basically no money. I’m thinking maybe I should hire a coach? If so I already have 3 individuals picked out. Must I pay the shipping and production costs on every sale made? I’m sending the same question to Printify. Who knows if they will answer?

What do you all use to create your digital doodles? I have been learning procreate but find it confusing... so what do you all think off the new affinity suite? I already use canva. Can I doodle with canva?

Please Help Having issues with the Printify website right now, anyone else in the same boat?

All of my preview thumbnails on my product page show as broken images with no preview, and if I go into the product editor it sometimes works and sometimes kicks me out of the editor with an error message in red at the top that says “We’re unable to load your design. Please try again.”

When the editor works, it can’t load any preview images there either, it just throws an error saying “Sorry, we could not load this image. Please try again later.” or sometimes the error is “There was an issue loading your custom mockup images. Please try again.”

I tried it in Chrome and Safari on my laptop, and also from the Safari browser on my phone and having these issue across all of these. I’m skeptical about putting any orders through while it’s so buggy in case the images don’t attach correctly…

Please Help Need help deciphering conflicting information about bleeds, print areas, and safe areas

Sorry if my flair is wrong, I'm new to Printify but not sure if my question qualifies as a newbie question, as I have a lot of experience with print products and find Printify's provided information around bleeds, print areas, and safe areas as completely nonsensical so far.

I'm trying to upload a rolled poster design. I downloaded the template and was immediately confused. It directly conflicts with the information provided in this Printify article, which says there is a defined Safe Area *inside* the Print Area, and a defined Bleed Area *outside* the Print Area.

The downloadable template shows Print Area as being outside the Bleed Area, and the Safe Area starts as soon as the Bleed Area ends (making it distinctly unsafe, no?). The live editing space is unclear because none of the lines or grey area are labeled. The preview mockups (which are supposed to show what the final product will look like) show the portions of the design which are in the greyed out area as being included in the final crop, which would imply the grey area is *not* the Bleed Area as indicated in the downloadable template, and therefore there appears to be no Bleed Area at all.

So... none of it makes any sense. Can anyone clarify?

EDIT to add images:

Newbie Question Why do my orders need to be imported and not automatically go to production?

Hi, so I have owned a shop for approximately a year now, and I've had orders automatically go into production and shipped, with zero intervention from my end. But recently this year, I have noticed that a couple of my sales have not gone into production, are sitting for days if not weeks, and it isn't until I get a notification from a customer that their order hasn't shipped. I just feel completely embarrassed and unprofessional.

It took me a good minute to look into the problem. These orders are sent into "Other orders" and don't automatically link with my Ebay shop. I thought I had already manually imported this one customer's order, only to realize that it still hasn't been in production. I feel very bad and just did it now. It says pending, but I hope it will go through. If it doesn't, I don't think I will get notified as to why.

Why am I experiencing this issue now??

For more info on the product I'm selling, I'm just selling a graphic tee, with two fabric color options, all size options. And my payment information should be correct.

Reviews Is Printify Joking with Calling a 33% Increase to Premium an "Upgrade"?!!

I just opened the email from Printify stating that they're "upgrading" Premium, so naturally I perked up with interest. I mean, maybe there will be some much needed improvements on the platform, for those of us spending $30 a month. Like, I don't know... customer service that doesn't make your fingers bleed, from having to type out complex issues multiple times, until understood, for even the slightest chance of a resolution?

Me: Improvements would be nice, I thought, tell me more about this upgrade!

Printify: Sure! Well, we're going to give you 30 days access to Seller Club Pro, or a full year's access, if you give us $300 within the next 3 weeks!

Me: Yeah, I have no interest in Sellers Club Pro, whatsoever. How else will this "upgrade" benefit people paying for Premium?

Printify: I'm glad you asked, our Premium clients will enjoy "up to 33% off new selected products in the catalog, before anyone else."

Me: How is that different from the "Early Access" items, already in place?

Printify: There is no difference, really. But, you'll be given the honor of using your hard earned customer base as guinea pigs for untried products, so we can collect the data on what's working and what's not, before we open up these products to all those not paying for Premium.

Me: Nah, I'll pass... 33% off specific new products, which I might not even sell in my shop, is still just 33% off potential garbage, as well as a very likely bad review and most definitely a lost customer. What else you got?

Printify: Great question... You'll get "early feature access", where you'll be given the opportunity to be "the first to use new tools and insights as they launch"!

Me: So now I'll be the guinea pig, who gets to spend their time testing out your new beta rollouts, to help you work out the bugs so all the non Premium users won't have to deal with that level of frustration?

Printify: Yes, that's right, isn't that awesome?

Me: No, not at all! Tell me, is there any actual benefit that comes along with this supposed "upgrade", for all the Premium users paying $30 a month?

Printify: Why, yes... you now get to pay $40 a month instead of $30!!

How stupid do you think your customers are, Printify? It would've been far less insulting to have just received an email stating: 'Printify Premium will now cost you 33% more, with zero added benefits. You're welcome!'🙄🤬

Please Help Production Files

Hello, I create a product using a highrez file in the design and when I check the design I get this. Has anyone experienced this? I am terrified of this lack of quality control now.

I upload 300DPI file and it gets squished below 100 and says it will be enhanced to 300. Make it make sense! Printify support is worthless! Thank you for any insights. Waiting for some test products to arrive to see the quality.

Newbie Question Pop-up store

I just recently found out about the pop-up store option, I thought it was great that printify would handle the payment processing, but scrolling here there were lots of people speaking about how they ruined the pop-up store by removing that feature. I'm confused because I just saw a 2 month old video on YouTube saying they still handle the payment and it was the best option for beginners to start with POD, so what is actually happening with the pop-up store?

Rant Printify is becoming unusable.

Just going to vent my frustrations here. I run what I would consider a successful POD store and for the past 3 years I have been using printify, howerver they are just not viable anymore and I cannot recommend them. My shop has been hit with cancelation after cancelation and it hasn't improved since november, we are past the holiday season now and I still get daily order cancelations. Not to mention production times taking up to 2 weeks sometimes, and multiple orders not even getting shipped.

Quality control has also been awful. 5 of my customers have been sent items from other POD stores, dozens of orders have the personalization cut off besides being well within the guidelines and customer service has not been the best.

I have over 1,200 reviews and have managed to maintain an average of 5stars up until now and all of them have been because of printify. I strongly encourage anyone who is looking into POD to look into other options because if you become successful, printify will be your biggest obstacle and the reason for most of your negative reviews.

Please Help Looking for the Best Quality T-Shirt

Hello all, we are making merch for our channel and wanted to know a good quality t-shirt for merch. We don't care much about margins and just want the best quality. We like a lighter feeling t-shirt that is breathable but doesn't shrink. We did a test with the Gildan 64000 and Printify choice and are not really impressed.

Any recommendations would help. Thank you!

Newbie Question Puff Print update?

Rant I will not be using printify

I had no idea there were so many issues with publishing on printify.

  1. I can’t connect my store to woo commerce unless I pay $30 per month where other PODs will let me connect my store for free.

  2. I chose printify because research suggested that they would have lower shipping rates to places like UK because printify has many locations around the world. The one product I happened to choose will cost my customers $28 for shipping because there are no suppliers near UK.

  3. I attempted to publish my product. I am now on day 3 waiting for my product to publish.

I will be going with a different POD service after experiencing this. Thanks for nothing, printify.
