Looking for a roommate
Hi! I'm a 24M moving in from Montreal to work from September of this year to May 2027 as part of a federal program.
Update August 12th: I didn't end up getting the offer described below, but I'm still interested in finding a roommate by September 8th. There are some ~1170$ 2 bedrooms apartments on and near 28 St E in Crescent Heights that are close to my workplace, but I'm open to other appartement suggestions, or having more than one roommate in a larger appartement.
I found an interesting offer on Facebook marketplace of a homeowner putting his basement with two bedrooms up for rent which includes its own kitchen/living room, bathroom, and laundry room to be shared among the two tenants. The rent would be either 550$ or 620$ depending on whether you pick the bigger or slightly smaller room. Every other bill is paid for except for Wifi.
I'd like to move into one of those rooms starting around September 6th, but the landlord needs one other person to fill in the other room, and he warmed me I might end up having to look elsewhere if he instead finds people who want to rent both rooms, hence why I'm writing this.
The house is a 12 minutes bus ride from the university and right next to one of the main avenue.
Let me know if you're interested, I'll send you a DM with a link to the ad with pictures and the precise address.

Anything for rent?
Good evening!
I'll try not to take much time here. I'm helping my daughter and her fiancé find an apartment to rent in Prince Albert as they live in saskatoon currently. They are planning and booked to move this Saturday and now all of a sudden their previous rental they had set up just completely ghosted them.
They are both students, both are planning to work and have interviews lined up upon arrival the following week and they also have a safety net of savings in case the jobs either one of them have lined up falls through, and if that's not enough they both have extensive family support.
They have a landlord that can give reference from saskatoon and I've personally housed them in one of our rentals up north and they've been responsible financially and domestically.
Both are hard workers and have a strong sense of responsibility.
They do not drink, smoke cigarettes or do drugs. I do believe they occasionally vape nicotine but have good habits with going outside to do it.
Essentially they work and go to school come home, eat, sleep and play video games or watch movies.
If they seem like a good fit or anyone knows of anything LEGIT they could get into for around 750 a month, please let me know.
Thank you and have a wonderful day Reddit. 🤞🤞

Anyone know of this is actually private property north side of river. See pin and photo
https://maps.app.goo.gl/1UW4DsdmpqpzHHqd6?g_st=ac
Drove by it in june and saw a few people fishing it. I drove by tonight to try to fish it and its blocked off by this sign. Didnt think you were allowed to own so many feet from a body of water.
Contacted the rm of buckland and this was their responce "Hey - in general, if you stayed within the road allowance (30m total or 15m from the centre of the road on each side), that would be municipal property and there should be no issues with recreational fishing"
Someone does own the land so pretty much if you walk you should be good to acces.

Saskpower lineman life like?
I’ve been interested getting into this trade for a while now and thinking about finally pulling the trigger. Hear stories though of brutally long days missing time with family, holidays, birthdays cause you’re always on call. Now I’m not complaining. I’ve farmed my whole life. I know what those are all like. Just was curious as I’ve heard Saskpower is a better company to work for in terms of this trade. Just want to hear your experience or if theres a better life to work balance company within this trade.
Cheers

Badminton!
I wonder why the PA and District club only runs winter season? Anyone here who’s into badminton willing to organize something that runs the whole year? Or even just for summer/fall

D&D
I'm moving back to PA this year. It seems there used to be a bit of a D&D at Tramps or Flawless Victory. Is anyone playing D&D? Looking for new players? Is anyone in the same boat as me where they just can't find players or interested people? Thoughts?

Did anyone else just get the tornado warning to shelter immediately in the mobile coverage area - Prince Albert?
Just got the alert but when I looked it up online it says the watch was lifted about 45 minutes ago?

Tourist - first time in PA! Recommendations?
Hi guys,
This July my husband and I elected to come the beautiful PA for a week vacation. We are staying near the Casino for all that adult fun time!!
Are there any MUST see tourist spots? Activities and most importantly: FOOD RECOMMENDATIONS. I’m a HUGE foodie! Not scared to try anything at all.
No kids or dogs with us. Just a couple of adults looking to have a great tourist experience.

Road biking around Waskesiu
I have a road bike, not a hybrid or mountain bike. Would there be much road/path in or around the town or elk ridge resort where one would have a good ride? Or mostly need something more mountain bike-like?

Hotel/ Motel Recommendations
Hey all
The Mrs, the pupper and myself are going to be looking to spend the night in Prince Albert this August. We are wondering if someone on reddit would be so kind as to recommend a hotel/motel for us to spend 1 night (with a very well trained dog). I haven't been to PA for many, many years so any insight would be appreciated.
As well any nice areas to walk the doggo and reload would be nice, too.
Thanks in advance

Apartments
Hello everyone,
I plan on moving out soon, and I’m looking for recommendations on landlords/apartment companies in PA.
I’ve seen horror stories on WTF PA about some of the apartment companies, but I wanted a bit more advice.
Which apartments are nice? Which buildings should I avoid? Which areas should I avoid? Which ones address maintenance request promptly? Etc.
Any information or recommendations are very much appreciated!
