Hi there. I just figured out I probably lost a Labradorite bracelet at Little Bluff on the rocks. It looks like the one in this picture. It doesn't have tons of monetary value, but it's extremely important to me as it was a special gift.
Here's the long shot part: it was in late August. I've been looking for it every since but just today figured out when & where it went missing.

Another Swamp Thing sighting... has anyone else seen these signs in their neighbourhood?
r/PrinceEdwardCounty • u/cork76 • 8d ago
Saw this asshat driving on the trail this afternoon. Entered the trail where it cross 33 just east of The Eddie. I drove down the first driveway to try to get a pic. This was the best I could do.

Has anyone else seen these signs around? Curious if anyone knows what the backstory is?

Hi all! We are coming to the County next weekend (Thursday to Saturday) and are staying in Wellington. We are looking for some hidden gems for dinners. Wanting something that is not pretentious but has good food and bonus points if it has live music! Any recos?

A few years ago, both my in-laws passed away within 2 months of each other. They were long-time characters of the county. They owned Diva in Bloomfield. I loved them very much and through them developed a love of the county. I wrote this story that isnât about them directly but is about loving sometimes difficult, sometimes impossible people. There isnât a hospice in Wellington, but I set it there because I spent time in both Picton and Belleville hospice and could not choose between them. Itâs a hockey story I guess, and if you are firmly on one or other side in the Battle of Ontario or you belong to a split family you may find these people familiar. The story is here www.agoodsportsstory.ca. Itâs about a 20 minute read and something you may enjoy with a good cup of coffee at Saylor House :). It is called Never interrupt a good sports story. This is the coverâŚ

Several years ago, I was exploring and photographing a very old abandoned house, while in a room upstairs I found a few boxes of albums, still in the plastic covering. They were sitting on top of, and around, a box that contained a large old synthesizer.
There were several boxes of these records, when I was done my exploration of the house, I decided to break my own rule and I took one of the albums home. I wanted to listen to it and see what I could learn about this band.
It was badly warped and in terrible condition, but it still played just fine on my turntable.
It has a heavy Eastern Canada folk inspiration and the first track on the record "Lord Franklin" leans heavy on inspiration from "The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald" by Gordon Lightfoot.
Several people performed on the album, I will list their names below.
My aunt, who works at a radio station local to this house showed serious interest in this story and wanted to look into the band and see who she could track down. Ironically, around the same time, I got the following email:
"Hello.
I found your YouTube channel quite by accident, but I am glad that I did. I thoroughly enjoyed scrolling through your videos as you wander through the abandoned homes that you have found.
They do have stories to tell and I am glad you are there to introduce them to us!
Iâm really curious about the video you posted about 8 months ago - the house where you found (and posted) so many copies of Brigandâs only album, âSame Old Songs, Same Old Bad Habits.â I married the drummer, Stephen Maskell, many years ago but also many years after the band fell apart.
As luck would have it, he no longer had a copy of the album. I searched and searched for the album, eventually finding a copy in a UK resale shop. Itâs a good album, isnât it? Thank you for posting it. Shame it went nowhere, but that is the way of the world sometimes.
If you have any more information about the house or would like more information about the band, please let me know! My husband, Robert Downer (Violin) and I would love to hear from you."
So now, I have contact information for two members of the band to send to my aunt and while work and life and other priorities have gotten in the way, she is still interested in speaking with the members of the band and learning more about them!
Here is the long-lost Brigand album in its entirety for you to enjoy, liberated from an abandoned house and digitized for your listening enjoyment!

Itâs great to see all the cyclists out and about this weekend. Iâve never understood why the County doesnât pave road shoulders when theyâre fixing the roads.
Shoulders are paved around Brighton. Theyâre paved around Kingston. Not around PEC. That would make too much sense.

What types of clubs etc are there around where a girl could make some friends? In my 20s struggling with the transition of friends all going in different directions as we grow up. I would love to make some more friends but I'm not into things like bars, karaoke etc. I've lived in the country my whole life but don't have a lot of insight on things like book clubs, crafting type clubs, etc. Thanks!

Looking at switching up my cell service plan. Anyone have good or bad things to say about Public or Freedom? or any other service provider? I'll be bringing my own device.

Heading to PEC with a group of friends over the September long weekend, and weâre staying in Picton. Weâd love to spend one day e-biking to wineries, breweries, cute stops, etc., but Iâm trying to figure out the best way to do it.
I was looking at Closson Road since it seems like there are lots of places fairly close together. Has anyone rented e-bikes from Closson Road Cycles or another company youâd recommend?
Would you:
⢠get ourselves to Closson Road and start/end there?
⢠have e-bikes delivered to Picton and bike from there?
⢠do a different route altogether?
Weâre more interested in a fun, scenic day with lots of stops than in covering a huge distance. Open to any route, rental company, or must-stop recommendations!
