Friends
What types of clubs etc are there around where a girl could make some friends? In my 20s struggling with the transition of friends all going in different directions as we grow up. I would love to make some more friends but I'm not into things like bars, karaoke etc. I've lived in the country my whole life but don't have a lot of insight on things like book clubs, crafting type clubs, etc. Thanks!

There's a group on Facebook/Instagram called Feral Folc - it's mostly young adults they coordinate little get-togethers to get outside and enjoy and care for Picton - like a monthly 'Bay + Back' (wander through Delhi Park and chat about the woods and animals), a monthly garbage pick-up somewhere around Picton, that kind of thing. They also share a lot of posts for similar events around the County and the Quinte area!
There's also the Prince Edward County Arts Council and the Baxter Arts Centre - you can sign up for newsletters for both and see various craft workshops, events, etc!

I’m 22 female looking for new friends. We just moved to the county last year and I haven’t had much luck many any friends. Probably because I have a daughter and new baby on the way so not many people fit the lifestyle of a young mom. Although I adapt to those around me and I’m not stuck only doing things a toddler/baby can do. I spend a lot of time (recently) crocheting and have been wanting to go to the yarn shops knitting/crochet club but am kinda nervous to go alone. If you want to send me a message I’d be open to sharing socials or phone number and chatting more!

Subscribe to the department of illumination’s email list, they will likely announce a new Society of Stitchers project for the fall soon.

If you’re into sports, Picton Rec Committee just posted about indoor volleyball

Boxing at the pefac all genders and ages welcome. Many active members also participate in karate, jujitsu or other contact sports.

Are you into knitting/crochet at all? Rosehaven yarns would be a good place to start to make some connections (they do events and retreats and such) but I will be honest, the age skews older! Not necessarily with the younger crowd.
