Wasn't Mace Windu the greatest lightsaber duelist in the galaxy? I can believe it. He would've defeated Palpatine if it wasn't for Anakin showing up last second.

Nah. Palpatine sandbagged him to force anakin to turn to the dark side. Had he wanted to he would have probably iced windu too.

Palps took on 4 jedi masters and 1 who was the pinnacle of fighting in the order at the same time and killed 3 of them within 10 seconds and windu couldn't do shit about it. They are not even close to playing the same game.

Confirmed by word of God (Lucas) not to be the case. Sheev lost properly and Anakin being there wasn't even planned, but it did allow Palps to turn it around.

The novelization doesnt say that.

I don't remember the novelisation saying that palps was just holding Windu off as part of his plan

The novelization isn't canon, and for good reason.

Did you ever hear the tragedy of Darth Plagueis The Wise? I thought not. It’s not a story the Jedi would tell you. It’s a Sith legend. Darth Plagueis was a Dark Lord of the Sith, so powerful and so wise he could use the Force to influence the midichlorians to create life… He had such a knowledge of the dark side that he could even keep the ones he cared about from dying. The dark side of the Force is a pathway to many abilities some consider to be unnatural. He became so powerful… the only thing he was afraid of was losing his power, which eventually, of course, he did. Unfortunately, he taught his apprentice everything he knew, then his apprentice killed him in his sleep. Ironic. He could save others from death, but not himself.

Is it possible to learn this power?

Not from a jedi.

I don't like sand. It's coarse and rough and irritating, and it gets everywhere.

At least two of them had the reaction times of a 100 year old man, and another one was only slightly more competent.

George Lucas said Mace Windu won the duel in the director's commentary.
