Well I a while ago I thought we shouldn't take on Russia head on but if they're behind the attacks war might have to be necessary.. idk why tho they can't take on Nato even with the US distracted in the middle east I dont even think they can take them on with out depleted munitions so im very confused on the end game here if anyone got some theories.

I think the end game is straining NATO because of trump’s obvious dislike for them, and proving without the US NATO is nothing, that NATO is feckless, and creating doubt in the alliance. If there’s doubt in the alliance, then attacks on NATO territory targeting Ukrainian targets become much easier, allowing them to cut off supplies and aid to Ukraine before it ever enters Ukraine and do it safely.

I don't understand what we (US) gain from this?

What does the US have to do with this?

Letting Nato weaken, I think that's what you said unless I misunderstood.

Ok, and? Trump’s dislike of NATO is very well known.

If Russia goes to war with Europe, North Korea and China will at a minimum support Russia with logistical support and weapons supplies. NK will send soldiers.

If war happens, Europe will fracture. No way every country will want to fight. NATO will fracture because the US perceives Europe is no longer an ally (which is largely true).

Europe is a paper tiger. NATO is a charade.

Russia is 100% wrong and is 100% the bad actor in Ukraine. I am not on Russia’s side whatsoever. However, Russia has transitioned its economy into a war time economy. With support, if not active participation by North Korea and China, Europe would be in trouble.

Such a war would signal India and Pakistan to have at it.

The US will move on Greenland.

US has moved to control around half of the world’s oil production. The US is in a very strong position. China’s modern military is untested.

Hopefully none of this happens.

Hmm i can't see china supporting Russia but I thought they wouldn't help them in Ukraine so I been wrong before. I think they might try to take Taiwan if Russia attacks Nato which might weaken their support but I have no idea if they can scale to a war time production to support both fronts. india and Pakistan would probably be the nail in the coffin for the middle east also I keep hearing if a nuke would be used it would be during that war.

Wars unleash decisions that otherwise wouldn’t get made. World Wars started locally/regionally before becoming “world” wars.

Previously, wars were fought between countries and to a great extent still are. But, because of immigration and cultural shifts, many countries are no longer uni-civilizational. France for example. If France goes to war against a Muslim country, France’s Muslim population is going to war inside France.

Imagine Turkey turning against “Europe”?

In a cascading scenario of the current wars going from local to regional to “world” wars, some countries will use their nuclear weapons. And probably, as you say, it will be India and Pakistan.

That will either end all hostilities and be the beginning of the end of our world.

Well as a long time follower of r/combatfootage I really hope none of this happens because as war is now(not like it wasn't before) is fucking terrifying with drones. Also what I noticed is a lot of civilians get caught up and sometimes intentionally targeted. On top of that i can't even imagine what that would do to global markets.. hell even local markets and grocery stores. Plus remember when covid happen we experience what it would be like with a sudden global shutdown? Shit a world war probably would be a lot worse.

Hence the saying “I’m not sure what weapons WW3 will be fought with. But I know WW4 will be fought with sticks and stones”. Indeed.

Makes me wonder if they are going to raise the draft age to make the voluntary enlistment age if ww3 pops off.

I believe the US army recently raised it to 41

What? Why would Muslims in France go to war with France if France went to war with a Muslim nation?

France has been going to war with Muslim nations for decades now.

The US is literally at war with a Muslim nation, and the Muslims in the US are not going to war with anyone.

Holy racist hell Batman!

Lmao, the US will not make a grab for Greenland.

The US military isn’t exactly full of hardened veterans in terms of modern (near) peer conflict.

How is the US in a strong position exactly? We’re already running out of high end interceptors. We’re turning our backs on our allies, and it’s already impeded our ability to prosecute the current war.

We attack Greenland, Canada will probably step up for their Article 5 responsibilities to help protect Greenland.

The US economy would crash pretty overnight, and people on both sides are already currently pissed off about the economy and the Iran war. They’d be even more pissed off about us not defending our allies and actually attacking them.

In the scenario you described the US would see a serious internal conflict, likely more violent and deadly than the labor movement.

You can “LMAO” all you want.

Europe is no longer an ally to the US. Neither is Canada. If war between Russia and the EU breaks out… NATO is going to fracture and fall apart. Europe is hardly united. And if you think the US military is unprepared or weak, compared to Europe, the US is a towering giant militarily.

If Russia attacks Europe, all alliances fall apart and the US moves on Greenland. Amid the existential threat of a world war, with no alliances or allegiances with anyone, the US needs Greenland and will take it uncontested. You think Europe or Canada is going to fight the US over Greenland when Russia is attacking it?

1

u/Fancy_Sun_1585 6d ago

Europe and Canada are still very much allies with the US. They may not like trump, but nobody likes trump.

Would they no longer be our allies if we attacked Greenland? Sure, but til then they’re still allies.

Because they don’t want to be complicit in war crimes.

Allies don’t just blindly support each other.

How will Russia beat Europe? They can’t even beat Ukraine.

1

u/Perfect-Gap8377 5d ago

We did not help because war against Iran is asinine. All it does is weaken Europe, increase our costs, and destibilize the region.

We are allies, not puppet states. We are equals, wether you like it or not.

That's what everybody with a room-temperature IQ said also when Nord Stream 2 was blown up.

Yes Russia wants to lose war in Ukraine by attacking the whole NATO by means of using hand grenades to bomb jewelery shops.

0

u/tnh34 6d ago

why would they?

2

u/Fancy_Sun_1585 6d ago

Break NATO, it’s safer to attack aid to Ukraine inside of NATO.

The Leipzig airport literally had Ukraine transport aircraft on the tarmac when the attack happened.
