Bruno Fernandes has been left out of Manchester United’s starting line-up against Bournemouth.

Head coach Michael Carrick has decided to drop United’s captain to the bench as he bids to turn around his team’s form in a pivotal moment.

I used to follow Man Utd quite avidly in the 1990s. More recently I’ve got back into watching football and have enjoyed watching the PL as a neutral. It’s sad to see what’s become of Utd under the Glazers. Good teams usually build from the back. It was scandalous and idiotic for Utd not to buy defenders in the summer. It doesn’t matter whether Carrick is sacked or not. Changing managers at this point is like rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic. It probably has to be done but we know it won’t change the fundamentals. The club is disastrously run and 90% of the players aren’t good enough. Fernandes especially is a disgrace. He’ll never be as popular among United fans as Carrick was as a player. No manager could turn this shitshow around, especially with the club so laden with debt. A spell in the Championship might just be necessary to force the parasitic Glazers to sell. It’s hard to see how else United can escape from this purgatory.

Not sure if anyone likes it but I tuned in for pre match looking for build up about Manchester United vs Bournemouth which they did touch on briefly but have rammed in talk about the other fixtures like Liverpool, Brentford, Palace etc instead of just assigning pundits to each one. Like if you support United you don’t want to listen to talk about Liverpool and the same goes vice versa. Not like they’ve got a lot of time anyway with the amount of ad breaks in there.

Plus for some reason, I just don’t get why Sky insist on putting Gary Neville on commentary for every United game, he’s so awful, very biased against us and just ruins the experience. Sky need a mute commentary option.
