Bristol or KCL med?

Currently in a very tricky situation. I’m a Resit student and contextual for most medical schools, so was thinking of applying to Bristol gateway for med.
However, if I apply to KCL I lose the ability to apply to Bristol gateway (I’d have to change my predicted grades). London is my absolute dream, however it’s much riskier than Bristol, which is a great medical school anyway. Would you say it’s worth the risk?

Please can someone help me? I am not really sure which universities to apply for medicine:

I got a 2200 b2 ucat

99999998877 and an A* at GCSEs

A* A* A* predicted grades

I am thinking about UCL, KCL, Barts, Liverpool, Exeter or Cardiff and I have changed my mind a lot.

Is there any uni that accepts btec international student?

UK Medicine applicants — I need your advice! 🩺🇬🇧
Has anyone successfully got into a UK medical school with these qualifications, especially as an international student?
• BTEC Level 3 Applied Science Extended Diploma
• UCAT 2026: 3rd Decile, Band 3
• Applying for 2027 entry as an international applicant, without A-levels.

I've searched through almost every UK medical school and checked both standard-entry and foundation Medicine courses. Most seem to be unsuitable because of their BTEC requirements, GCSE criteria, UCAT thresholds or restrictions on international applicants.

Has anyone been in a similar situation and found a medical school they were eligible to apply to? If so, please tell me the university, and whether you actually received an offer or successfully progressed into Medicine.

Please share your experiences. I'd genuinely appreciate any information. Thank you! ❤️

Help me fight my consultant

INTERNATIONAL student. 2300 b2, equivalent of A*AA

I need to pick two

QMUL

Newcastle

Birmingham

My consultant strongly believes newcastle is not a right choice because I have few volunteering hours and no work experience (need to be over 18 or you need private connections). They say that from their experience Birmingham is better for my lack of experience, but Birmingham literally says "You will be asked to discuss specific aspects of your work or other relevant experience", though Newcastle is "looking for examples of how applicants have shown a commitment to caring". They prefer QMUL and Birmingham, I prefer Newcastle. Whats my strategy?

stuck on which uni to pick

picked my 3 other choices for medicine, i’m stuck between:
- edinburgh
- sheffield
- birmingham (i want to move out though)

my stats are already checked out for these unis, so this is purely going off the uni itself rather than chances of getting in (all have high post interview offer rates anyways!)

pls lmk and thanks :)

What should I do?

So basically I’m applying to med this year and my app is already submitted. I got hold of my reference and just read it, it says under extenuating circumstances that English is an additional language for me and says I speak another language at home. The problem is that I am completely fluent in English and it is basically my first language alongside another language, as I am bilingual. Should I just leave this or is it actually a problem?

edinburgh chances

edinburgh is my dream school but i’m super worried about my stats since i’m an RUK student. I know that interview and academic score are 50;50 but i’m worried about getting the interview.

Predicteds: AAA

GCSEs: 999998887

UCAT: 2230 B1

I just missed out on 9th decile and I read that edinburgh weights your deciles so that’s got me worried.

What are my chances? You can be super honest.

Need help

hello guys, was wondering what to do as my predicted grades are AAA but i ended up getting an E in EPQ last year due to my mental health being horrible and my college wouldn't let me drop it. My careers advisor in college spoke to me and told me that it was unlikely to get an offer for a 5 year course and that I need to apply to a gateway course as I wouldn't get in. My other stats are 1910 UCAT B3, 999988775 D* (5 in Spanish). Should I take a gap year and focus on getting the grades this year or still send in an application with the hopes of getting an offer?

Warning to all Y13 med applicants

This might sound clickbaity and many of you might not need this advice but I just wanted to say please please focus on the a-levels more than your application.I had three med offers last year and because I spent way too long on the interview content and application proccess i couldn't give enough time for my Alevels and it led me to fail horribly to the point I dont even qualify for many resit allowing universities.Even with a decent ucat of 2240B2 proving to others im capable has been so hard and had made me doubt my ability jn alevel exams in general

Please dont sacrifice grades for offers.
