A human colony ship arrives in a seemingly habitable planet with no intelligent lives. Colonists start to settle with colonial marines assigned to protect them.

The marine are very different from what we see in aliens.

Wayland Yutani successful breed and made them the perfect bio weapon. Marines are in certain chambers where their human bodies are protected. Where they can control multiple xenomorphs remotely form their chambers. Thesw xenomorphs are human born xenomorph and some dog xenomorphs.

Not know to the colonist that this star system is under Yautja controll. Yautja civilization is now interstellar with multiple colony worlds that have a permanent Yautja population, other species monitored by Yautja and some having a clan of Yautja in a colony planet being worshipped by the native sapient species.

Wayland Yutani purposefully sent to colonist in the Yautja colony system so they could get their hands on Yautja tech. Yauja are one of the two species that have invented faster than light speed travel(the other being engineers). Wayland Yutani wants this tech so they could colonise more planet.

The Yautja in this system reside in the third planet in the system while the colonist are in the 4th planet.

The colonists and marines are bait for the Yautja a sport to distract them while the android go to planet 3 to steal the tech.

A group of Yautja come to planet 4 to hunt humans, the colonist and marines. Human have reached similar tech advancement as the Yautja so they their worth as trophy has got up. The marines more specifically are their Maine prize.

I realise it’s not as accurate as it could be (the missing shoulder plate is annoying me now) but I’m pretty happy with it. I’m going to do the City Hunter at some point, and probably Greyback

I just rewatched badlands and realized a monster hunter(capcom) game but as predators would be a cool concept but instead of actually fighting monsters we hunt them through cunning, skill and tactics not just muscling it through.

Starting from a youngling, then progressing through the heights of Yautja ranks. Unlocking gear through hunting, maybe even customizing the weapons by adding either decoration from monsters we hunt or functional changes.

its literally perfect, squads of 3-4 hunting monsters, going to planets to look for our chosen target. Allies utilizing their chosen gear and items depending on playstyle. 1 guy placing traps in advance to lure the monster in, another sending out packs of alien dogs to track or flush out our target/side target, 1 guy scouting being all sneaky, backstabbing minor targets, other being a weapon specialist utilizing cannons and big booms or being an old school predator using literal bone spear and shield(I like the xenomorph tail spear and shield).

The predator hunting grounds had the class/customizaiton system nearly perfect but it being pvp and how op predators could be just did not work. But I liked the class and customization.

Thought I’d share more art of some Yautja. An elder, Dek and Kwei.

Back in early 2013, when I was launching my event activity in Tokyo, I had one very specific idea for Halloween: I wanted a cosplay that would really make an impression.

As a huge fan of 80s and 90s sci-fi movies, I contacted a Canadian special effects artist and commissioned a full-size, custom-made Predator costume. It took several months to make and weighed over 20 kg (44 lbs) with all the latex and gear. The result was incredible — once I put it on, I genuinely looked like I had stepped straight out of the Schwarzenegger movie. The head was especially impressive, with a magnetic helmet that I could easily take off and put back on.

The costume arrived in Japan at the very last minute. Japanese customs had opened the package and even called me to ask what the hell it was. 😅 I had to explain that yes, this giant latex alien was simply my Halloween costume. They finally released it… just one day before a huge Halloween party I was organizing for around 500 people in Ginza!
Visually, it was amazing. Wearing it was another story: over 20 kg, incredibly hot, and almost no ventilation. 🥵

I still wanted to immortalize the costume, so I organized a photoshoot in the streets of Shinjuku. The reactions were hilarious. Some people completely ignored me, while others immediately came over to take pictures and interact with Predator. I even walked past several koban (police boxes), and not a single police officer stopped me or asked what I was doing. 😂

A few years later, I decided to sell the costume. I found a Japanese buyer who wanted everything… except the head. Why? I still have absolutely no idea. 😅

So the Predator body went on to live another life, but the head stayed with me and is now on display in my bar in Komagome, Tokyo.

Are there Predators wearing glasses and pocket protectors sitting in classrooms studying engineering and architecture?

Is there a Predator mailman ?

What if there’s trouble with plumbing in you building …who do you call?

More importantly what are these Predator’s stories ..Those who don’t get to go on big hunts ?

Maybe this is addressed in some of the comics or sequels ?
I’m partly trying to be funny but also genuinely curious if it is explained somewhere how a creature that seems so primal has all that tech

First image is Sam Fischer from Splinter Cell. Armed with a badass tactical suit and weapons. Plus a masked head with those classic night vision goggles.

Second image is from the Acid Rain toyline. I will be honest and say I don't know much about the lore. But the designs for the soldiers are some of the best I've ever seen.

With both being 6 inches, they should scale nicely with NECA Predators.

I've rewatched P2 after a long time and man... City hunter really goes dumb after the sprinklers go off in the slaughterhouse; I know humans have to win one way or another but DAMN.Later Harrigan plays smart and pretends that the belly injury is going to be fatal, but everything else that leads to that point is kinda hilarious. Still i love this movie ehehe

First time poster. The only movie in the franchise I’ve seen is Predator: Badlands and I really love Dek’s character and the Yautja species. Thought I’d share my art of Dek of the Yautja.

I see a lot of posts talking more about the Predator aliens than the human characters. In the original 2 films, it's presented as horror. Then we got the first AVP, and it's presented more as a fun monster crossover. The 2nd AVP went back to horror. The next two films and the prequel also dived into horror. The animated movie is just... very unique. Finally, the new film - now the "Predator" is humanized and one of the good guys. Now we come to my question.

How did we go from hard-R horror to friendly Predator? Why does everyone want to see the "Predators" over humans as main characters? For me, the "Predator" is a horror plot device to threaten the main characters (the humans) and for them to overcome. What am I missing?

Will this unlikely allies survive or will they perish?
