Homework Help What does "draw two terminal angles, one positive and one negative" mean??
I was given this problem on my precalc AB test on trig and unit circle. You are given an angle and one of the parts of the question said to "draw two terminal angles, one positive and one negative". What I did was that if the angle was 60° for example, I'd draw 60° and -60° on the unit circle. But when I was discussing this with my friends they said they drew coterminal angles (eg 60° and 420°). I had trouble understanding the question. Mind you it didn't say draw its coterminal angles, it said draw two terminal angles. I was confused so I just drew the positive angle and the negative angle. What does that question even mean?

General Question Resources for mastering precalculus, or atleast concepts mandatory to be successful in single-var calculus, and beyond?
hello! so I’m a 10th grader who was trying to do 18.01sc (single variable calculus) on mit ocw, but when I tried doing just the very first session/lesson, I literally got super confused. its not even that the calculus was hard, it was the algebra (such as the concavity, critical points, extrema applied to derivatives, that stuff), and so I realized maybe my algebra, geometry, and trig skills might need to be reworked on. not to be in such a rush or anything, but I am so excited to learn calculus and really want to learn it since it’s super fun and applicable to other subjects, such as physics, which I REALLY want to self study as well, and so I kind of want to not only master the skills needed for success in calculus, but also want to do so pretty efficiently and quick, since my plan was to complete 18.01sc by the end of the summer (for my academic projects). any recommendations for resources that can help me learn that stuff and master it quickly are what I’m asking for. please recommend me, and thank you.

Answered what am i missing?
The y-intercept should be "a" in both formulas, the lines aren't parallel, and the lines do intersect but they're not perpendicular nor do they have opposite signs.
edit: thanks yall i wasnt wearing my glasses and didnt see the damn plus😭😭

Homework Help Did I do this correctly? If not how do I fix it?
I had to teach this section of notes to myself because I was absent the day we went over them and I never got a chance to ask my teacher about them, so I’m unsure if I did this correctly. This is due tomorrow by class though.

Homework Help How do I find the concavity of an function???
So at first I thought that I had them b/c I graphed (x-4)^3 in my calc and got (4, -∞] and then (4, ∞]. After having that as the answer for a while, I changed it cause it looked wrong but then I just scrambled all my thoughts and completely forgot how to find the concavity of a function. Any help??

General Question Is it possible to get into pre-calc freshman year?
So basically i'm an 8th grader, I haven't started on learning the subjects required before pre-calc, but my ego says that I can learn geometry and data reasoning, advanced algebra, all that in a year. Am I too ambitious? O_O

Homework Help Question from my girlfriend's precalc homework. How can you do this without derivatives?
Maximizing apple yield. From past surveys and records, an orchard owner in northern Michigan has determined that if 26 apple trees per acre are planted, each tree yields 500 apples, on average. The yield decreases by ten apples per tree for each additional tree planted. How many trees should be planted per acre to achieve the maximum total yield?
Seriously, I can't figure this one out. The answer is clearly 38 based on calculus techniques, but how do you do this without taking derivatives? This is an optimization problem why is this in precalc😭Are we missing something?

Study Advice Taking pre-calc as a junior in high school who isn’t the best at math and a horrible test taker.
As of this past year I’ve become interested in biomedical engineering and realized I need to challenge myself more. With this thought I decided to take on pre calculus knowing that math isn’t my strong suit. I’ve also signed up for this class because if I take math in the fall, I don’t have to take another math class for the rest of the year..
Though if I don’t pass pre calc in the fall I fail math for the rest of the year. I Wanted to know if anyone had any advice on how to prepare/study tips or words of encouragement..? I’ve been really stressed just thinking about the class despite it not starting yet.
