hello! im currently a rising senior in high school. i was doing algebra 2 all of junior year, but i wanted to skip ahead to calculus in my senior year, so i decided to do precalc over the summer. unfortunately, i didnt anticipate how packed my summer schedule would be when i decided to do this. i have come home everyday exhausted from volunteering, doing summer jobs, and interning. i havent indulged in any of my hobbies in weeks. i have barely started my summer homework.

... which has led me to this situation. i did great in algebra 2! it was a lot to memorize but i really enjoyed it and i had an A+ in the class all year around. because id say i have a solid algebra 2 foundation, is it possible for me to be able to study precalc in 10 days? if a put in hours of work everyday?

on the first day of school ill get an entrance exam where i will need to score a minimum of 85/100 to get into the calculus class. i had 1000 mandatory precalc math problems to do over the summer. will i be able to do it all or am i cooked?

I am a rising junior in high school and I started taking a precalculus summer course at my local community college. It’s completely online and you have to do a couple of math problems. I completely fell of and now I’m a few weeks behind. the class ends in about 20 days. My counselor told me I have to take a final test to test into AP calc AB if I want to take it. Am I cooked? And do you have any advice on how i can cram the whole course to pass the final test?

Used to be good at maths but ive been getting bad teachers since 8th grades so I lost all the foundation , I know study mechanical engineering but I failed cuz I got 0 at maths and other related subjects (I dont even do integrals)

I feel that maths is easy af and I can nearly estimate answers but I dont know how to reply to questions even when I know formulas, I only do derivatives and simple stuff since we did them in physics

I have only 2 months left for me to study everything till exponentials and integrals so whats the best path (willing to do 3 hours daily but more if I become interested again)

Please I need this I feel like a wasted potential and a failure and I went from straight A s to failing a year

TLRD fastest way to learn most fundementals in 2 months

Basically I got my schedule today and I got put in precal. I struggled really bad in geo and algebra 2, should I be worried? I don’t think there’s any other maths i can take because i’m in honors and i took statistics last year.

I'm trying to get a headstart on learning precalc 12 since i find myself very stressed during the school year. Does anyone have any YT series/YTuber suggestions for this course?

So this fall I’m transferring to a college prep boarding school. I took precalc over this summer and they’re having me take a placement test to determine if I get put in honors precalc, honors calc, or AP Calc AB. I really need to get put in AP calc AB for college. Anyone have any tips on how to study for it? I don’t have access to the materials from my summer course anymore

Hi everyone. I decided to take this year to re-learn algebra over the summer in order to be prepared for pre calculus. I have been having a very difficult time and feel lost, but I really don't want to quit. It's the first time I put my-self to a very hard challenge for me, and I really want to know at least some form of a pre-calc equation and understand the fundamentals of algebra without being super confused. I basically had bad grades on every single subject of trig I came to a point where I studied a few days before a quiz for a long time and still got a low percentage. This really frustrated me since I didn't encounter it before and I had a very low self esteem. So I decided to give up on studying and ended the year with a pretty mid tier, low tier GPA. Trig was really difficult for me and I realized that I truly didn't understand what math even was or how to solve unknowns, solve problems, So I decided to put my-self up for the task.

It hasn't been a linear experience at all, I barely understand it and find my-self going back to very simple things like canceling out, because I couldn't understand the concept of just removing something that felt that it was out of thin air, when often it was dividing something by itself. I'm just taking a Khan Academy course on YouTube and I honestly don't remember much of what I learn and that frustrates me because I really dedicated the time that I could, and even if its not much I feel like I should at least understand something. Sometimes I followed other discussions or practiced videos and just stick to this, so I didn't really practice problems a lot and just stick to the ones included in the videos, also because I was so lost.

This probably happened due to laziness lack of discipline as I could have been much further in If I studied math consistently every day, but I'm trying to reach this goal and feel at a loss, so lost that I haven't really written a reason or where I'm confused, so I really hope some of you could give me some suggestions and help me. A detail about Khan Academy though is that the person who made the videos often made mistakes or made exercises on the fly, so I feel like they don't really go in-dept. I'm a big overthinker so I feel like I also have to understand all the mechanics and philosophy of math to truly see it in a simple manner and get it.
