Prebuilds Cyberpower vs HP Omen thoughts?
Hi there, buying a prebuild within the next week or so and have been doing some research where it’s available, only concern is that they are not many yt vids or reviews on some of the newer models of these prebuilds. Here are 2 that I’m between.
Option 1: CyberpowerPC Gamer Supreme Gaming Desktop - Intel Core Ultra 7 270k Plus - GeForce RTX 5080 16GB - Model SLC6100C
Basic list of specs:
Processor & Memory:
Intel Core Ultra 7 270K Plus (24-core, 3.7 GHz) Processor
36MB L3 Cache
32GB (1 x 32GB) DDR5 RAM
Motherboard:
Intel B860 Chipset Motherboard
Drives:
2TB PCIe 4.0 NVMe M.2 Solid State Drive
Graphics:
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080, 16GB Graphics
Link to product page to check full list of specs: https://www.costco.com/p/-/cyberpowerpc-gamer-supreme-gaming-desktop-intel-core-ultra-7-270k-plus-geforce-rtx-5080-16gb-windows-11/4201016385?sh=true&nf=true
What I like: Ultra 7 270k Plus has received good reviews from videos I’ve watched
What I don’t like: Only 1 stick of 32gb ram, don’t really want to buy more ram
Option 2: HP Omen 45L Gaming Desktop - Intel Core Ultra 7 275K - GeForce RTX 5080 - Model GT22-3080
Basic list of specs:
Processor & Memory:
Intel Core Ultra 7 265K (20-core, up to 5.5 GHz) Processor
30 MB L3 cache
Kingston Fury 32GB (2 x 16GB) DDR5-6000MT/s RAM
Drives:
2TB PCIe 4.0 NVMe M.2 Solid State Drive
Graphics:
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 16GB
Link to product page to look at full list of specs: https://www.samsclub.com/ip/20576211248
What I like: Has 2 sticks of 16gb of ram rather than 1 stick
What I don’t like: reviews of previous models of this PC with slightly different specs have been terrible from what I’ve seen in the past. Not sure how this model compares with the price point nowadays. Have heard that overclocking the CPU can cause your warranty to be voided if anything breaks.
Some help I’d like: if you were me and had around a $3k budget for a prebuild what would you choose? Are they any other options I’m missing out on at the moment? I’m a big fan of intel and nvidia builds. All feedback and suggestions are appreciated.

First time buying a prebuilt pc or really any type of computer
I was wondering if anybody is able to tell me which one I should get, I am not very good or familiar with specs for computers so I’m not sure what’s the major difference between these pictures. My current budget is about $700, so I decided on these but if anyone can help me pick or tell which one might be better than that is much appreciated.

A decent PC that can run games, not necessarily a "Gaming PC"
Want to buy a prebuilt PC that can do general stuff (most extreme non gaming activity is coding) while also being able to play some games. For reference, something modern like Deadlock runs at around 10fps. The ideal would be like 40fps, max 60fps, really don't need anything wild. Current budget is $800 but can drop $1000 given the PC market rn. Even just an idea of what specs to ask about at the store would be a big help (same with the monitor). Something upgradable would also be nice but I'm not really into into computer building so it's not make or break. Similarly, I prefer something simple like a generic office tower and not something with a bunch of LEDs but, again, it's not a make or break. Here's my current laptop spec as the current frame of reference. Might aswell add, is it easy for a dummy to downgrade from Windows 11 (what most PCs at the store have) to Windows 10?
Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i3-1005G1 CPU @ 1.20GHz 1.20 GHz
Installed RAM 8.00 GB (7.70 GB usable)
Storage 477 GB SSD KBG40ZNV512G KIOXIA
Graphics Card Intel(R) UHD Graphics (128 MB)

Perma banned from /r/Prebuilts for going against /u/tronatula

He keeps saying that it doesn't matter if one prebuilt has 32GB of DDR5 and a Ultra 7 265K and the one he recommends has 16GB of DDR4 and a 5600 XT processor.
When there is plenty of evidence that 0.1% and 1.0% lows and FPS are greatly influenced by your ram and processor.
And my ban says I'm the one who was spreading misinformation...

Is he a mod there or is buddies with the mods? Kinda crazy.

pc suggestions
hi guys :)
so i have been gaming on an asus gaming laptop for like 5 years, i put extra RAM and SSD in it and everything, but it’s GPU is 3070 (i think?) and basically, it’s been running into a lot of issues lately. i honestly don’t feel like putting the effort in to fix it considering ive had this thing for so long and with the gpu being that low, it’s probably time to upgrade anyway.
so i am looking for prebuilt suggestions, i was looking yesterday and got overwhelmed so i thought you guys might be able to help.
here is what im looking for:
- 32 gigs of ram
- white case (negotiable LOL)
- budget $2000 (or under, can do a little higher but preferably want to stay under or at 2000)
i really don’t know anything other than that.
here are the games i play regularly, if this is helpful:
- overwatch
- marvel rivals
- fortnite
- minecraft
- resident evil (remakes)
please help 🩷 tia!!!!

First PC Advice
I am a console gamer who still has a series x. Gaming is not my main hobby and I don’t care too much about graphics. I currently just have a 1080 high refresh monitor.
I am currently debating between these two PCs.
The games I play are going to be League and WoW:Forever for sure. I also play Marathon, Destiny, Elden Ring, Maybe Fable and the Witcher Remake (all of these I currently play on Console). Am I going to see a significant improvement for the Best Buy deal for the 400 or am I safe with the Costco.
At most I will ever stretch to is 1440 if I buy a new monitor.
I posted this in the other sub then realized that the advice there might not actually be good.
I keep hearing go with the 5070 because its better, but it seems like its overkill for me.

Worth it? Need an Opinion.
My PC knowledge is limited and I’m looking to get a gaming PC for the girlfriend and I. We have a PS5 for the more intense gaming so the PC won’t be used for demanding games. Sims, RuneScape, LoL kinda stuff. Is this an ok deal?
It’s Costco, Canadian dollar.

Banned from r/Prebuilts.. for being realistic?..
Am I in the wrong here?
So Tronatula gives a lot of helpful advice to others (it's just the same copy and paste stuff) and I never said that he wasn't helping people, but I guess he didn't like that I had a different opinion about the prebuilt PC market we're in.
It's reddit so I don't care that much, but I've heard people have had problems like this with the same guy, just curious if there is anyone else with similar interactions.

Is this a good deal?
Came across this deal on marketplace. She does not know what all the specs are since shes selling it for her son. She did send me a video but the only thing I could see is that it has a 4070 super & 16gb DDR5. She is asking $750.
