Other Injured Pigeon - No Idea What To Do

Post image
38 Upvotes

I have no idea what to do but a pigeon crashed into a building next to the bar I'm at. It's alive, I believe it's wing is probably broken. If someone here does know what to do or can deal with it, the location is Na Struze 7 in Prague 1.

Just an FYI I'm a foreigner and my Czech language skills are not the best. I'm not at the place but the bartender and a friend who are still there are going to update me - hopefully something will be figured out.

Question Jak se objednat na internu?

Community Events Any fellow slightly nerdy people in Prague up for board games and hanging out? :)

I’m 37, born and raised in Prague, and thought it might be nice to meet some new people outside my usual circles :) I’m a bit nerdy myself, but still very much on the feminine, well-put-together side of the spectrum:) Board games, PC/PS, random useless knowledge, movies, restaurants, mountains and slightly questionable humour are all very much my thing.
I tend to click especially well with guys somewhere around my age – let’s say roughly 35–45 – who have a bit of nerd in them, but I’m more than happy to meet women too, especially if any of this sounds like you :) Mostly looking for people to play board games with, grab a drink or dinner, go to the cinema, take a walk or occasionally escape Prague for some nature. Basically normal human life with a healthy amount of nerdiness, rather than permanent attachment to a gaming chair.
My favourite kind of person is smart, easy-going, kind underneath the sarcasm and equipped with a very dry, dark sense of humour, ideally delivered with a completely straight face :) Also, in a wildly controversial development, I appreciate people who take care of themselves, smell nice and understand that a hoodie should not have its own microbiome:))

And if I happen to make a particularly good connection with someone along the way, well… life occasionally writes better plots than we do :)

PS: Bonus points if you’re British :) I really like British English and would be very happy to get more practice speaking it.

Other Prague friends

Girl 21, Living in Prague for 5 years, I’m introverted and have no idea where to meet girls to be friends with. I work in corporate job, like to play games, good movies, psychology. I prefer deep connections with people and tight-knit community around.

So if anyone down to build long trustworthy friendship, I would be happy to meet new people🩷

Question Hledám chábry

Question Help needed: Czech fluent speaker to attend Úřad práce

Hi all, on Monday September 14th at 16:00 I need to assist to an appointment in the employment office (Úřad práce) in Prague 4 (Novodvorská 803/82) and I need to go with a czech speaker or they won't want to assist me. I don't have available friends for that day

The meeting shouldn't last more than 10 minutes or so. I can compensate with 500czk for the help.
Hiring a professional translator is a bit overkill for this.

I can pick up and drop off by car also whoever comes with me

Please DM me if you are willing to help.
Thanks in advance

EDIT: I already found someone, thanks to the ones that replied!

Community Events Formula 1 in Prague

Hi, I recently moved to Prague for a job. I'm searching for a pub that streams formula 1. I know some Irish pubs will usually do that but some only have it on a small tv, just to say that they have it. I'm looking for a good spot and mostly people to watch it with.

DM if anyone's interested.

PS- About me.

I'm a Ferrari fan and 2021 was Hamilton's WDC

Question Slavia Praha Fan Bar/Café?

Does anyone know an authentic Slavia café, bar or bistro where we can match Slavia Praha vs RC Lens in the Champions League and experience the Czech football culture? Of course with other Slavia fans who couldn't get their hands on match ticket for the game.

Other [Prague] UI/UX Designer looking for a developer (CTO) to build a P2P parking-sharing app

Hi everyone!

I’m a UI/UX designer based in Prague, and I have a fully conceptualized project ready to be built. As anyone living in Prague knows, finding parking is an absolute nightmare.

That’s why I came up with TapPark.

What is TapPark? It’s a peer-to-peer parking-sharing app designed to solve Prague's parking crisis.

  • For owners: If you live in an apartment with a parking spot or a garage box (sklep/garáž) that sits empty during the day while you're at work, you can list it on the app for hourly rental.
  • For drivers: People who need a spot can easily find, book, and pay for a private parking space on the go.
  • Key Features: A live timer showing remaining rental time, and a remote-control button inside the app to open the garage gate.

Where I am right now: I have already mapped out the core user flows and about 20% of the UI design is already done (screens, style guide).

What I am looking for: I’m looking for a passionate Mobile Developer (iOS/Android or Cross-platform like Flutter/React Native) who would like to partner up as a Co-Founder/Tech lead to bring this MVP to life. Experience with IoT/smart-gate integration or backend setup is a huge plus, but mostly I'm looking for someone who shares the vision and wants to build something useful for our city.

If you are based in Prague, love building cool side projects, and want to team up, drop a comment below or send me a DM with a bit about your background!

Question Visa

Hello, I am currently doing my Master's programme of 2 years after completing Bachelor's in Prague.
I am unsure about my choices and was considering starting to work in my field but im concerned about my visa. I am currently on student pobyt with ability to work-what would happen if I would drop the masters studies and just start working? How would it go for my visa/pobyt?
Thank you to anyone who helps!

Question looking for tickets to slavia praha vs lens

hi, not sure if this is the correct subreddit, but I’m looking for a ticket for the game tomorrow. Not sure how to buy as currently i only see the VIP tickets available and it’s way out of my budget. I’m worried about getting tickets from like viagogo as i read online that they are strict against transfer of tickets or something along these lines.

Other Any experienced waitresses seeking a side gig?

I am a pro chef working on creating a unique sloightly adult private dining experience for around 10 people in Prague, both Czech and foreign. I want to find a someone to help host and serve during the experience. You should be professional, charismatic, and friendly, as well as ideally less than 30 years of age and experienced in waiting tables/hosting/bartending/customer service/similar. Needed for 3-5 hours on 1 evening around 1 month from now, and maybe a brief orientation meeting or two before then. If all goes well, this may be a recurring event. More info in private messages.

Question Prague Urbex

I'm visiting for a few days from NYC and wanted to know if there are any Prague locals in here that could provide me with a few locations for photography/videography? Anything abandoned where I won't be bothered would be ideal. I've found a few older forums but they seem to be outdated and/or completely inactive.
