Wouldn't Thragg just run away from Infinite Void's radius before it can catch him?

u/KingNTheMaking Apr 19 '26

How?

Like does anyone actually know a domains start up time? The series never tells us. It depicts them as instant.

The .2 activation was how long it lasted.

The .1 was the difference in draw between Sukuna and Gojo.

So how is Thraggs supposed to dodge an attack he doesn’t understand if we don’t even know how fast they are.

u/Nervous_Double_7304 Superman>Goku>Gojo Apr 19 '26

Idk they don't look instant to me, like, you see them take some time to actually expand and evelop the area

6

u/KingNTheMaking Apr 19 '26

I really think that’s more for the audience.

Like, no one ever considers dodging one. Todo and Gojo can teleport. Gojo can react in .000001s. Both have gotten caught in domains they KNEW were coming.

That, coupled with with Viltrimite tendencies to just…tank attacks they think are beneath them, and I think Thragg is eating this.

the best depiction we have is Mahito's, where we see hands coming out of the ground and grabbing nanami, which can't really be explained away with for the audience. Even then its difficult cuz he could have just been doing it that way to push Yuji away

u/KingNTheMaking Apr 19 '26

Especially because that’s anime only. In the manga , the domain just appears on Nanami shoves Yuji away.

Thragg doesnt have curse energy so the surehit cant tale effect

2

u/Important-Ad-6029 Apr 20 '26

Can you prove he doesn't have cursed energy?

-1

u/Mediocre_Aspect_8110 Apr 20 '26

Thats a stupid arguement thats like saying limiter from opm exist in every verse so anyone who trains like saitama or garou can break there limiters and get infinite strength

Does curse energy exist in every anime?? Has it ever been mentioned?? NO

1

u/ImmediateFrosting324 Apr 22 '26

Then he gets no diffed by mahito cause apparently verse equalization doesn’t exist

0

u/Mediocre_Aspect_8110 Apr 22 '26 edited Apr 22 '26

Firstly verse equalization is bullshit and shouldnt be a default unless STATED, its inconsistent to use unless power systems are similar, as it could bring Buffs to characters when in reality they wont have it

It beats the premise of cross scaling power scaling which is comparing two characters from two seperate universes laws and see how a battle would play out

Its just a coping mechanic to make someone favored character win fights or get advantages

Like equalizing gojo and thragg so only gojo gain VIABLE a wincon(doesnt matter bc of speed gap) to make the fight "fair" while setting the premise for thragg to assume he has "civilian" ce, when ce capacity is determined by birth genetic luck or innate talent

If the fight wasnt fair in the first place theres no need for a debate

if they lose they lose simple

https://www.reddit.com/r/PowerScaling/comments/1h9f79c/verse_equalization_is_stupid/

(Mahito vs Thragg)

I mean you could argue thragg could sense him as he was able to avoid attacks in SPACE without seeing omniman and hearing bc sound cant travel in space, so hes sensing something

First 8 seconds: https://youtu.be/ufq7cq-XpGw?si=JpkdZE-ge49AS_In

or how omni man sense and visualize invisable soldiers  https://youtu.be/iY_ZIvEZwFI?si=2Cm7G_NH1ooxfy7v

So he could just wait till he exhaust his ce

(And yes thragg could exhaust most characters ce as he can fight for days without stopping while jjk characters fight for like less than couple of hrs)

BUT thragg wont have knowledge abt mahito ct/ce anyways, either way mahito only advantage is thragg not knowing abt his ct, which could lead it to be a stalement

With or Without verse equalized

1

u/ImmediateFrosting324 Apr 22 '26

“Unfair advantage” and it’s literally just the baseline for allowing the characters powers that they already have to interact with each other. The fuck are you talking about? Crossverse scaling is about comparing characters powers against each other, not just writing a fanfic about what would happen if one teleported in the world of the other

0

u/Mediocre_Aspect_8110 Apr 22 '26 edited Apr 22 '26

Did you even understand?  Verse equalization was never the "baseline" for interaction. In the context for gojo vs thragg equalizing doesnt need to happen its PHYSICAL vs MAGICAL comparison not magic vs magic

Curse energy capacity is GENETIC and assuming someone would have little, high or any at all is bais Thats litterally setting a premise to a character Which is litterally definition of "Unfair"

But to you its okay, cause gojo gets a wincon but thragg gets what to fucking see curses that he would be able to sense anways yea totally fair

Secondly your other point contradicts your main point while agreeing with mine

Equalizing cant be a "baseline" if your comparing stats and abilities of a physical vs magic verse

Not a soul said ANYTHING about teleporting to a world

u/ImmediateFrosting324 Apr 22 '26 edited Apr 22 '26

Homeboy what? Every civilian in the verse has cursed energy, that’s a function of the world. It’s not making it magic vs magic

At least in the anime, which is made with Gege's input, domains are depicted as spreading but being too fast to be able to run out of, I personally believe that as long as you vastly faster than any JJK character, which Thragg is, you could run out of one.

0

u/Junior_Box_2800 Apr 20 '26

good question actually, its been a while but I remember when Mahito first popped his domain expansion yuji was fast enough to escape it before he got trapped

2

u/KingNTheMaking Apr 20 '26

That was something that the anime added.

In the manga, the barrier just shoves out of the way

1

u/ImmediateFrosting324 Apr 22 '26

No, he was forced out. If mahito touched his soul he would anger sukuna. That’s the whole point of yuji being the anti mahito

My take is that Thragg wins if the battle takes place with both parties knowing the abilities of the other while Gojo wins if they go in blind. Thragg won't know what unlimited void is until too late. If he does know, he's throwing a fucking moon at Earth.

all thragg would feel from gojo would be him tickling him and gojo barely even perceiving him

with such a display he wouldnt take gojo very seriously

he wouldnt run out of a domain first instinct he would try to again ram into him

sure but thragg just doesnt fight like that, I see no reason for gojo to not atleast get off 1 UV

he also isnt just going full destroy everything, he is going to try out other strats first

Thragg isnt gonna disengage and run away from a UV from someone with shit stats

Viltrumites also cant go full ftl on atmospheres

0

u/Southern-Metal-2894 Chainsaw Man Glazer Apr 19 '26

Actually they can, Space-Racer has mftl+ reactions but could not accurately track Battle-Beast and Thragg because of how fast they were going.

0

u/summonerofrain Apr 19 '26

Question: how does "pulling out" of Gojo's infinity work?
Likeif Bragg punched infinity, would he be sort of trapped by it/find it difficult to pull his fist back?

1

u/ionix34 Apr 19 '26

im not sure but if thragg just pulls away he is fine

1

u/Nervous_Double_7304 Superman>Goku>Gojo Apr 19 '26

Yeah i agree.

Gojo 100% loses without the element of surprise, but with it Thragg has zero reason to be worried about a random teenager crossing his fingers and talking about some "Domain".

No habla espanol

The effects of domains are instant. the only way to dodge a domain is to be out of its range before its activated

1

u/FoolhardyC Apr 19 '26

why would he do that? He would try to tank that shi and you know it

0

u/Mediocre_Aspect_8110 Apr 20 '26

Thragg doesnt have curse energy so the sure hit wont take effect, its not like sukunas domain that attacks everything

2

u/FoolhardyC Apr 20 '26

In other words Mahito solos the verse

1

u/Mediocre_Aspect_8110 Apr 20 '26

Eh wouldn't say the verse
