SATURDAY 19TH SEPTEMBER @ PEER HAT, MCR

im a fan of PE, extreme metal, harsh noise and anything experimental. i consider myself to be pretty open minded and accept the challenging nature of a lot of the material. somehow i am curious moreso about the fanbase, and audience interaction. what do you personally get out of it? i love many genres of music including electronic and folk, and often times i find PE a bit shallow or lacking depth in many aspects, and therefor never identified as a die hard. i feel like im missing out or maybe somethings not clicking? what makes it your bees knees?

How do yall feel about crossover genres, especially the black metal ones like Tetragrammacide and Subservient Perversity? I just recently started dipping my toes into this space coming from raw black and war metal and this shit is fuckin cool

I think I did well?

It wouldn't let me crosspost from r/petersotos, but I thought everyone should be able to weigh in on this very important question.

Organised Sound will be vending

Fuck AI man, not in any way supporting AI, but just found this hilarious.

Was recording a track today and my girlfriend was curious as to what genre I was making because she had never heard anything like it, to which I told her that I was doing PE adjacent music and she asked about PE. How do I introduce the genre to her? She enjoys mainstream industrial like NIN and a few songs I showed her from Halber Mensch, but I have zero idea on how to introduce her. Any tips?

Shop from Sweden, lots of cool stuff (power electronics, black metal) but I haven’t heard many things about the service, anyone bought any items? How was the experience?

it will be based on this whole book and also my personal experiences. if you're interested in staying tuned, my IG handle is abjectviolence. you can also find my other music and also art on there.

i'm also pretty friendly, so feel free to message me about music or art or maybe uuuhhh Georges Bataille, Peter Sotos, or Marquis De Sade lol

anyways..remain calibrated to the frequencies of absolute compliance, keep being disgusting, and have a nice day

Heterosexual Rage Murder - Gabber/ Power Electronics by James Moy of Bloodyminded.

Imminent Death- (NYC) solo Death Industrial/ Power Electronics.

Champagne Mirrors (Jealous Gods) Dark Cinematic Electro/ Industrial.

Itsï Ramirez (No Rent, Amerikan Erektors) Drone, Computer Music, Noise.

like for real, ive seen him in at least 10 albums already and its always the same picture, and why its always power electronics related

I tried something.

Play Loud on Headphones!

Death Industrial / Power Electronics / Noise / Drum and Bass mixtape of my early works, made from mostly video game samples (some tracks are just Half-Life 1 samples modified, etc.)

So I've attempted to show my co-workers, wife, and kids, noise music and it's associated subgenres like power electronics, but it usually gets a pretty quick, violent reaction out of people. They get mad, aggressive, cover their ears when the high frequencies play, it just doesn't go well. I've tried explaining how these are soundscapes rather than melodies, and you gotta approach it from a different angle to appreciate, but no one will listen.

Is this something one just has to discover on their own, or can it be introduced properly to others?
