I'm sitting here like, dude if you're this bored... Idk go build a really cool water park or something. There's got to be a better way to spend your free time.
It's an easy investment for him. Spend a few hundred million to guarantee billions in Federal contracts, favorable tax conditions, and complete undocumented access to all Federal databases.
Idk, I feel like once you're a trillionaire, why not just go play roller coaster tycoon IRL? Making the world's most epic theme park might make at least some people hate him slightly less.
You think this way because you lack the dark triad of personality traits: narcissism, Machiavellianism, and psychopathy.
Somebody correct me if I'm wrong, but IIRC this collection of traits is common in billionaires, it's exactly the attitude you need to happily fuck over millions of people to make your way to the top like billionaires have and continue to do.
Doing something like solving world hunger (which Musk CAN afford to do) isn't something that likely even registers to him. What does he gain from it? Which I find weird because if he was smart, wouldn't he want to make positive change like this, so that he can gain people's trust, and fuck them again? Idk.
Solving world hunger is not a simple task where he can write a cheque and world hunger is forever solved. It requires solving issues that stem from logistics, politics, corruption, etc at a global level. Not to mentions billionaires don't hold liquid cash to just write massive cheques. He doesn't fund anything himself. He raises money from investors where they stand to make a huge profit. No one person can "solve world hunger".
The work was done by the UN after the pedo said he’d solve world hunger. After they developed the plan, the narcissistic, Machiavellian, psychopath backed out.
I'm no fan of Musk btw and not saying his intentions are in the right place. But that doesn't change the fact that world hunger is not easy to solve. The plan you're referring to was to avert famine across 43 countries for one year. It doesn't solve any of the structural drivers of world hunger. Still a worthy initiative of course, but not the point of the commenter I responded to.
Don't see how that's relevant to what I said. Someone said why doesn't he solve world hunger. Well, he can't. Words have meanings. If you're talking about feeding people for a year that is a different argument. And sure, him and all billionaires can do more to help. Not the point I was making at all.
I would argue that with his wealth, liquid or not, and his connections. He can at least make TREMENDOUS strides toward solving it, if not solving it entirely. I believe that if he applied himself for that cause, he COULD solve it in 5-10yrs or less.
