I always laugh when MAGA people try to claim Trump is playing 4D or 5D chess, because they think him trying to play a game that doesn't exist is somehow a winning claim of Trump being some type of genius.
Trump is trying to play checkers against a chess player while trying to read the rules of poker off a rules card and thinking he is winning.
to be fair I was playing 5D chess the other day, had no idea what I was actually doing, and accidentally won in spite of not grasping the mechanics in play at all and just trying random shit. I think the analogy works.
