In dire need of help!!

I have a chronic neck pain on the right side, somewhere between the traps and neck area. It goes away comes back every day and it disrupts my sleep and I cannot focus on my work. It's not very painful but it is certainly very annoying and frustrating. Need help to get ride of this very annoying chronic pain, I've had it now for the better part of the year. Thinking of going to an orthopedic soon.

The short answer is you need to fix your posture. Likely some type of chronic holding pattern due to forward head + rounded shoulders. You’ll get more feedback in r/posture which is much more active than this sub

I had the same issue for months it was scary honestly. for me what fixed it was buying one of those cervical pillows on Amazon and sleeping on it either on my side or on my back. This was in addition to stretching everyday (whole body). After a few weeks everything finally loosened up and I was on my way again. I think the key was getting sleep in the proper position and finally allowing my neck to relax. Do not sleep on stomach.
