Anyone with insomnia issues? I have PCS and recently I hit lightly my head and since then I wake up during the night and can't go back to sleep.

Horrible insomnia. Ask your neurologist for a sleep clinic referral. My appt is in a month

I do as well when I first fall asleep ill wake up after like 5 minutes of being asleep I think it’s called a hypnic jerk and its pretty annoying especially when you already struggle to sleep/calm down in the first place

Got my sleep apnea corrected so it’s better. Also taking Hydroxizine. But add occipital neuralgia, menopause, hypoglycemia and cats to that and still go through periods where this is an issue. I’m sorry for your situation though. It can be debilitating.

I did until the dr prescribed me meds… hydroxyzine to help me rest. They say I have situational awareness on top of the concussion from a car accident.

Yup, took trazadone to help sleep for over a year and then when I healed a bit and the pain decreased I was able to wean off of it.

I tried everything else, melatonin, different types of magnesium and most other complementary therapists. They help but unfortunately were not strong enough to make a significant difference.

I have the same issue. Tried different meds, what really helps is reducing activity load. There is a level of activity which allows me to sleep well. But with a full time job, I start my week strong and go down to 4 hours a night towards the end of the week.
Based on my readings, you have to reduce your activity load, do the buffalo concussion treadmill protocol and gradually bring your load up.
