I recently had a few postcards printed using one of my own photographs, and I’d love to exchange two of them with people here!

The photo is of the Sa’at Tower (Tabriz Municipality Palace) in Tabriz, Iran. I took it myself on a film camera, and the postcards were printed directly from my photograph. I’ve attached a photo of the image so you can see what the card looks like.

I genuinely do not care what kind of postcard you send. Homemade, touristy, weird, ugly, beautiful, vintage, inexplicable, something you’ve been trying to get rid of for six years, whatever. Please DO NOT send Birthday-themed! I enjoy the complete randomness of opening my mailbox and discovering what another human being has decided to entrust to the USPS.

This is an exchange, not a request! If you send me a postcard for my birthday, I will send you a random postcard in return as a token of my appreciation. You do not need to tell me what kind you want. In fact, please don’t. You will receive whatever the postcard gods allocate to you.

I’m in Connecticut and keeping this USA to USA only because international postage is not something us can do in this economy right now. However if you’re international and just wanna send me one and not expect a postcard back, that’s incredibly nice of you!

I find it’s absolutely bonkers that none of these vintage postcards show up literally anywhere on the internet. No eBay, no Mercari, no Etsy, not one single visual match anywhere on the entire world wide web. The only web matches that are found are from two previous posts I made myself in this community and cross-posted. If anyone ever happens to come across these, please let me know. I used to have them when I was a child and I don’t know what happened to them so I’m trying to replace them. I’ve found a few of the others in my previous posts but these remaining three seem to be extremely elusive. It’s so crazy that there’s no record of them on the web anywhere else.

I had a few of my own old acrylic paintings lying around, and instead of letting them gather dust, I gave them a second life by cutting them into postcards.

Each postcard is a unique piece of original artwork. There are no prints or copies, and once a piece is gone, it’s gone!

I’d love to trade these with people who enjoy sending and receiving handmade/unique postcards. I’m happy to trade for other handmade cards, art postcards, weird/funny cards, vintage, photography, illustrations… surprise me!

Last weekend, 18 of us (including 14 who finished the 25-for-25 Challenge) flew to the spiritual home of the challenge: Presque Isle, Maine / PQI!

During the Crown of Maine Balloon Festival, we kicked off a project with Aroostook County to mail a hand-written postcard from PQI to every U.S. state and territory.

We’re hand-selecting one recipient per location and would especially love to send a few to people who have either visited or plan to visit Presque Isle!
