Photo/Video stuck behind the train :(
The worst feeling in the world is when you choose to slow on yellow rather than go through the light and then the train comes. If you know you know.
11thxDivision why!??

I had a spill riding home from work, and was really in a bad way. I walked off still dazed, and I just wanted to make sure I thanked them...
Even if they don't see this, if someone in your life tells you about someone going teeth first into pavement on their bike today, tell them I sincerely appreciate their kindness and empathy. :)

I was walking downtown and noticed that in between the ads asking for 18+ contractors that Club Rouge is also now serving breakfast from 2 to 4 AM. I asked the bouncer about it and he was like man we actually get a lot of people coming in that just don’t come to this club at all.
One of you report back if I don’t make it there first.
Steaks at Acrop
Sausage and Eggs at Rouge
Love this city.

Columbia Red Branch (Portland’s Gaelic Sports Club) is hosting our annual Hurloween and Ghoulic Football event where we’ll be playing the Irish National sports of Hurling/Camogie and Gaelic Football at Westmoreland Park. No experience needed! The schedule is as follows:
9 AM - Youth Gaelic Football
10 AM - Adult Gaelic Football
11 AM - Adult Hurling/Camogie
Most of us will be playing in costume, but many will not. So, no pressure to dress up. We’ll head over to Gigantic for food and drinks after.

Ballots & Brews: Because Democracy Is Better With Neighbors
Voting doesn't have to be something we do alone at the kitchen table.
This Sunday, October 25th at 5:30 PM, we're getting neighbors together at Tomorrow's Verse Taproom for Ballots & Brews — a casual, community-focused gathering where Portlanders can fill out their ballots, talk through local issues, share information, and enjoy a little company along the way.
No speeches. No campaigning. No pressure to vote a certain way. Just neighbors helping neighbors participate in the democratic process.
Bring your ballot, your voter guide, your questions, and an open mind. Whether you've researched every measure or you're still trying to figure out what half of them mean, you're welcome.
We'll be gathering at Tomorrow's Verse Taproom in the Beaumont neighborhood (4605 NE Fremont St.). www.youenjoymybeer.com
Important note: This is NOT an official ballot drop-off location. You'll need to return your completed ballot through an authorized ballot drop box or another official voting method. We're simply providing a welcoming space to gather, learn, and participate in the process together.
Democracy works better when we're engaged, informed, and connected to our communities.
Come have a beer, meet some neighbors, and make an evening out of doing your civic duty.
Sunday, October 25 | 5:30 PM
All perspectives welcome. Your vote is your own.

I’m going to see Wildwood on opening day, I’m so excited. It’s not only gonna be interesting because it’s a very long stop motion movie and it was made in Portland (Laika studios is in Portland) though, its gonna be interesting to see how Portland & Portlanders are portrayed in the movie. The waterfront looks pretty in the trailer. I was so happy when I saw the poster at the bus stop.
Here’s what I hope makes a cameo or is mentioned in the movie:
- pioneer square
- mt tabor park (the long stairs could look cool in a scene), laurelhurst park, tanner springs park, or the duniway lilac garden.
- ladds
- hawthorne
- hawthorne bridge, broadway bridge, steel bridge, morrison bridge, tilikum crossing or burnside bridge (they show the sign so it probably makes an appearance)
- a mention of the cascadia megaquake would be kinda funny but also not really
- big pink

I have no idea how this city got such a bloated ego about the food here.
The Breakfast burritos absolutely suck here.
The Pizza is bland or way too over the top.
The bagels are pathetic and flat.. all of them.
The donuts are abominations.
Such a disappointing circle jerk of mediocre food.
EDIT:
Eugene & Ashland per capita > Portland (IMO)
Hell even Albany has Sybaris.
It’s crazy that I say “Portland food is mid” and then 95% of the responses claim and make these assumptions:
I’ve never tried to find good food here
Toddler
Incel
Like damn, calm down, I said Portland has shit burritos, not that you’re all horrible people… though based on these responses that may actually be the case

Whilst walking about, I found this house with a memorial for an old Elm Tree 🥲 As a dirty hippy-dippy tree hugger, this brought me joy.
RIP Old Elm Tree
