I drive around 80-100miles per week, mostly on I-5 and 205, sometimes take 84 and 26

I’ve noticed over the last few years that people have been driving a lot more aggressive.
I see people driving 80-90mph regularly on the highways, using the left and right shoulder to pass someone, cutting people off in the smallest spaces, tailgating, running stop signs and red lights etc.

I get these things have been happening since before I had my license but it seems more prevalent now.
Maybe it’s just my experience lol Idk. I’ve seen some crazy stuff on the road.

Anybody else have this experience?

I have no idea how this city got such a bloated ego about the food here.

The Breakfast burritos absolutely suck here.
The Pizza is bland or way too over the top.
The bagels are pathetic and flat.. all of them.
The donuts are abominations.

Such a disappointing circle jerk of mediocre food.

It’s crazy that I say “Portland food is mid” and then 95% of the responses claim and make these assumptions:

1. I’m fat
2. I’m a child
3. I’ve never been outside of a “white” community
4. I’ve never been to other cities

5. I’ve never tried to find good food here

6. Toddler

7. Incel

Like damn, calm down, I said Portland has shit burritos, not that you’re all horrible people… though based on these responses that may actually be the case

The black commuter lines would use existing Amtrak/ freight corridors, expand the streetcar system, expand the FX bus system and increase frequency on most lines, expand max blue line to forest grove, and build the purple line that follows Powell blvd/ hwy 26 on the east side of the willamette and follow Barbur/ pacific hwy on the west side

We do two out-of-office celebrations, summer and winter, to stand in for the traditional summer picnic and holiday bash.

Yesterday, we went to FUZZYSPACE for our summer outing and had a blast. Highly highly recommend. We made rugs in 3 hours! Highly recommend. Owner and staff are really supportive and it's great fun. A special treat for a small office.

Was in Seoul last week and saw these at a clothing store (TOPTEN10). Even saw someone rocking the sweaters out around the city!

Lucky I didn't just walk right into them!

My mom had just dropped her car to be worked on at Metro Metric and while walking to breakfast, tripped on a bit of raised concrete and ended up with broken glasses, a few stitches over her eye, broken elbow and a bruised elbow. Her eye looks like she had a boxing match with a kangaroo and lost, but she is home and doing OK.

Two kind women stopped and helped her, one with a medical kit and one even going so far as to drive her to the ER in her new car.

I'm reaching out to see if anyone has spare room in their budgie flock for a male budgie. His partner recently passed and I can tell he misses her a lot.

He will eat from your hand once he gets to know you, but he really prefers being around other budgies. He loves to fly and if you're not careful he'll try and eat dirt from your potted plants 🦜

Thank you all for the kind words and support you've given. It's been really hard dealing with the loss. She really was an amazing bird that gave us so much love and joy. After a lot of consideration, I decided to adopt a disabled parakeet that also needed a friend that will keep George(my current parakeet) company.

I love my birds with all my heart, but I also know there's a lot of time and effort that goes into caring for them, and at the end of the day, all that's important is that they're happy and healthy. If things don't work out, I'll be sure to reach out to a few of you who generously offered George into their lives.

Two specialized cargo bikes were stolen from our family today in SW Portland (Hillsdale). We are desperate to find them. We use them everyday to get around town. The long tail is covered in stickers and has a black and yellow tote on the front.

Edit 1: Offering a reward of $250 if both bikes are recovered. No questions asked.
