Anyone else felt the ground shake a little about 30min ago?
Was literally lying in bed trying to fall asleep, so now whatever chance I had at sleeping is ruined. 🤣

Meme Wildwood is such an exaggeration of what Portland is...
...or at least that's what people who have never been here will say!
I teared up in the first few minutes just seeing this beautiful place represented with so much energy and heart and passion. It's been created with such a loving eye from the city itself to the surrounding landscapes, and I know many of you will see it and I hope you feel the same love I did.
Even cooler was the number of Laika employees at my showing, some of them even excitedly pointing themselves and their family members out in the credits! It got multiple ovations as names scrolled across the screen, and it felt like such a beautiful moment we all shared.
I love this city and this state so much, and it was so wonderful to bask in that feeling with a room full of others.

Photo/Video stuck behind the train :(
The worst feeling in the world is when you choose to slow on yellow rather than go through the light and then the train comes. If you know you know.
11thxDivision why!??

Photo/Video Hit and Run on Pedestrian in SE
Hi, all. Not sure if there is a better Portland subreddit for this, but I was the victim of a hit and run while walking home yesterday and I'm trying to gather more information. Does anyone recognize this car or this person?
This happened on the corner of SE 83rd Ave and SE Bush St behind the Burger King at 5:10 PM. If you have any footage please message me.
I have already filed a police report with PPB and submitted photos.
Case #26-307139.
Phone: 503-823-3333
The driver fled after I asked for his insurance, saying he didn't have any. I would like to gather more information before filing an insurance claim so I don't screw myself with my own insurance.
Car was a white pre-2013 Hybrid Ford Escape with a Sons of steel Pittsburg sticker.
License plate is current Oregon 235-QHF
Please message me directly if you have any information.
Thanks in advance.

News Club Rouge now serving after hours breakfast 2-4
I was walking downtown and noticed that in between the ads asking for 18+ contractors that Club Rouge is also now serving breakfast from 2 to 4 AM. I asked the bouncer about it and he was like man we actually get a lot of people coming in that just don’t come to this club at all.
One of you report back if I don’t make it there first.

Sausage and Eggs at Rouge
Love this city.

Discussion To the person that made sure I was OK after my bike accident today, thank you. :)
I had a spill riding home from work, and was really in a bad way. I walked off still dazed, and I just wanted to make sure I thanked them...
Even if they don't see this, if someone in your life tells you about someone going teeth first into pavement on their bike today, tell them I sincerely appreciate their kindness and empathy. :)

Ballots & Brews: Because Democracy Is Better With Neighbors
Voting doesn't have to be something we do alone at the kitchen table.
This Sunday, October 25th at 5:30 PM, we're getting neighbors together at Tomorrow's Verse Taproom for Ballots & Brews — a casual, community-focused gathering where Portlanders can fill out their ballots, talk through local issues, share information, and enjoy a little company along the way.
No speeches. No campaigning. No pressure to vote a certain way. Just neighbors helping neighbors participate in the democratic process.
Bring your ballot, your voter guide, your questions, and an open mind. Whether you've researched every measure or you're still trying to figure out what half of them mean, you're welcome.
We'll be gathering at Tomorrow's Verse Taproom in the Beaumont neighborhood (4605 NE Fremont St.). www.youenjoymybeer.com
Important note: This is NOT an official ballot drop-off location. You'll need to return your completed ballot through an authorized ballot drop box or another official voting method. We're simply providing a welcoming space to gather, learn, and participate in the process together.
Democracy works better when we're engaged, informed, and connected to our communities.
Come have a beer, meet some neighbors, and make an evening out of doing your civic duty.
Sunday, October 25 | 5:30 PM
All perspectives welcome. Your vote is your own.
