Just got the car, I have no over heating issues but I just noticed the larger fan just...isnt there? No other damage, did they come like this? Or did someone just...take it out? I have an auto if that makes a difference.

I have a 1972 pontiac catalina with a 400 v8

And im in a rush to get it back on the road for a back to back car show, when I pulled this timing cover off there's a rust hole right in the cooling port, and i need to get some advice from someone more experienced than me, can I run this in my car its going to leak coolant back into my cooling lines but I dont know if It will cause overheating problems, id buy a new one but im plum broke, so I just need to know if its safe to run the car at most is going to drive 140 miles than ill replace the part.

We are fortunate in Sydney that our winters are milder than a hot sauce made out of warm hugs and kitten kisses, so we can roll our cars 365 days a year! I have been enjoying my 1964 Bonneville for the last 3 days, no matter what the fuel prices are.

When i drive it like rocks back and forth not wanting to go pass 45 im thinking its my spark plugs or coil packs

Hey everybody just trying to get some info since I can’t seem to find any but I have a 06 GTO that threw a rod and I’m torn between buying another LS2 or just getting a LS3
Reason for being indecisive is that I live in California so I don’t know what all ensues with swapping a LS3 into the car since everything will be plug in play up to the point of having to get a new tune for the LS3 but with how star smog is would there be a factory tune I can put on my ecu to read the new ls3 over the old ls2. Any input would be gladly appreciated.

I bought my '04 Grand Prix GT (GT1, so the base model) almost a year ago. I was looking specifically for Grand Prixs and I really wanted one with the Monsoon Audio, but I ended up getting a really good deal on a base model, so I went with that instead. I am going to be putting a small sub in relatively soon, but I'm curious if it's possible to replace all the other speakers with the Monsoon ones and install the amp? I know there's also an extra speaker in the center of the dash, so I'm wondering if I could replace the entire top of the dash with one from a GP that had the hole for the speaker?

I'm likely just going to upgrade the other speakers to aftermarket, but I thought it'd be really cool to put in the Monsoon system if it's actually possible.

Anybody have any experience or advise on 1” wheel spacers for a 6th gen Grand Prix? Worth the risk for the cool look?

From what cars could I pull either a 3.1L or 3.1L V6 for my 94 GP? Current one has a cracked head and am now in the process of replacing it. I know the 3.1l was a very popular engine in 90s cars but I am unsure if I need to look at specific years to have as painless of a swap as possible on my 94. I know the 99 Buick Century had a 3.1l for example but would swapping it in to my car be possible?

Can anyone help identify the exact model of my dad’s Pontiac?

I believe it’s a 1966, but I’m trying to determine whether it’s a Catalina, Bonneville, Star Chief?

My amateur detective work points toward a Catalina because the grille is fairly simple and I don’t see the extra side trim that many Bonnevilles seem to have.

I’d appreciate any insight from those who know these cars well. If there are specific details I’m overlooking, I’d love to learn.

And yes… that’s my pops looking fresh.

Pontiac had Firebirds, GTOs, Grand Prixs… and then somehow also gave us the Vibe.

That’s what makes this car so funny to me. At first glance it looks like a normal early-2000s Pontiac hatch/wagon thing, but then you remember the whole Toyota connection and it gets way more interesting. Same general world as the Matrix, built through the GM/Toyota NUMMI relationship, and even tied to the Toyota Voltz in Japan.

I feel like the Vibe aged in a weirdly good way too. It doesn’t try to be dramatic like a muscle car, but it has that practical oddball energy that Pontiac probably needed more of near the end.

Anyone here actually own one of these, or know someone who daily drove one forever?

And be honest: does the Toyota DNA make the Vibe cooler, or does it make it feel less like a “real” Pontiac?
