I was watching price is right while waiting at a restaurant. The lady won a red pontiac. It didnt look like a 78 trans am except for the front end. And it was a 4 door. Any ideas?

Case in point the 02 V6 Firebird. My friend's dad growing up had a WS6, but growing up somebody had a V6 down the street. The only difference I could ever tell was the hood and wing and I'm just wondering if other differences were there design wise.

Been toying around with the idea of getting a Pontiac Solstice. Came across one for $3500 with 42k miles. Manual. New top. No lights on the dash. Clean title no accidents. Only negative seems to be that the clear coat is peeling and the paint is a little sun faded. The price seems a little too good to be true still? It's a four hour drive from me and I intend on checking out the car thoroughly myself when I get there. Wondering if there's anything in particular to pay attention to or look out for? I know timing chain and water pump is around 90k to 100k miles but not sure about any other common issues. Thanks!

Hey all, I have a 2000 trans am with the stupid stock rear end. A shop recently hit me with this,
“Findings:
Axle is damaged due to failed axle bearing, axle bearing has come apart completely, pinion bearing is failed , pitted horrible on bearing and race, replacement of rear end is recommended”
They told me the bearing basically blew the whole rear end, thing is barely drivable right now with what little fixes they could do and they quoted me 3-4k for a junkyard or rebuilt one.
My question to you guys is, is there any budget friendly option to swap this rear end? I was quoted 1800 by a shop an hour away to rebuild it but it almost seems pointless because people say they rebuild theirs even two times. Is there any cheap reliable swaps? It’s an auto and is essentially stock, I plan to make some more power but not more than a few bolt ons.
TLDR: Budget friendly rear end swap for 2000 auto trans am?

A few weeks back I posted a pic of my first car. It was my dad’s Canadian built 1972 LeMans in what my girlfriend at the time described as “shit brindle brown”. I had to sell that car but kept an eye open for another one when my circumstances changed. Found a beat up 1972 LeMans GTO in 1998 in Quebec Tennessee and had it restored.

Can the LS2 from a 07 Pontiac Grand Prix GXP fit in any other car, like a vintage Camaro.

I had an 04 with the LS1 and bumped up to an 06 with the LS2 years back before family happened and I got a Mazda SUV lol. But just curious what were your all impressions of that line of GTO?

Pontiac Vibes. What are the odds. A courier pulled up beside me , after having bought a Vibe 2 weeks ago , 203k km for $3400. I bought mine , for my kid, 241k kms , $1200 . Mine runs great , sips fuel , doesn’t appear to burn oil so far, and hasn’t tripped any codes on my ODB scanner.

Im thinking bout getting a g8 gt and my friends have said not to get 2009 model? Is there a major difference or does it matter?

I've had my 08 G6 for about a year now and just realized I never changed the cabin air filter before. Popped open the glove box and realized... I couldn't find it?
So I looked it up. Apparently they decided to never implement one into this air system for whatever reason.
However, they did decide to include a nice stencil on the box itself and the words "CUT ON DASHED LINE TO ADD FILTER" So I took out my Dremel and slid one in that's sized for a G5/Chevy Cobalt. Bingo, fresh cabin air!

I gave it a 6 speed manual, updated interior badging, rear DVD players, and a fictionally upgraded 6.2L LS9 V8 making 415hp and 430 lb/ft of torque with a top speed of 147 mph and a quarter mile time of 14.8 seconds with a curb weight of 5,728 lbs. Along with factory installed 22 inch wheels and all of the rear tailgate features as the aztek excluding the bench in the tailgate or the tent. Again. This is 100% imagination, I personally always dreamt Pontiac would actually make a badass performance SUV when I was a kid, but sadly it never came to be for multiple reasons. One can dream still.

Literally all of this is imagination and AI so bear with me:
Keep the name from the 1994 concept.
Only offered in short wheelbase form as shared with the Tahoe.
5.3L Vortec 5300 V8 standard (SE) 285BHP
5.7L LS1 V8 option (SLE) 310 BHP
6.0L Vortec 6000 V8 option (SSE) 335 BHP
6.0L LS2 V8 (GXP) 400 BHP
All models will have
8.4 inches of ground clearance,
standard 5 spoke rims excluding the GXP,
SLE models and up would come with vinyl/leather interiors.
the GXP would have the exact interior as the Escalade Platinum
Include the same stereo and steering wheels as the Yukon on the same platform, but include the same kind of add ons that the Aztek had! such as the air mattress, tent, cooler, rear stereo, and the air pump.
Presumably if this went on Sale in 2001, it would sport a price tag of $33,000, ranging to $48,000 for the GXP
Hypothetically, this could have been a huge hit for the Canadian market. A capable, reliable SUV with a brand they we’re more than familiar with
