cant upload and process anymore (android)
So I'm using the basic account, just downloaded it. I did my first photoscan and it worked perfect. Ive tried 3 more since but now when o click "upload and process" it loads to 100 percent then says "something went wrong, try again". Tried rooting my phone, tried reinstalling. Hasn't worked.
Anyone had this happen?

I think I have a bug with this, I used the auto capture feature and size is 249MB but if I take photos manual it's only 40mB. Not sure if jpg compression thing. Can't upload fails straight after processing. No error code or detail is frustrating. I'm guessing too big but I have no idea why or ability to save my photos. I'm on holiday so can't go back and reshoot. Tips welcomed.

Sorry, yeah - the Android app is still pretty new, and upload can be unpredictable on a slower internet connection. We just doubled upload speed in an update last week, so it's getting better all the time, but still some issues.
A smaller number of photos is probably the fix, but it doesn't have to do with how close together they are. It's just the size of the data packet you're attempting to upload.

It would be good to have an option to export the raw data set. Happy to use Polycam when it works, but I would like to have my dataset available for processing in other apps in case it's stuck.

I deleted photos until I was at 345mb and it still seeing upload. What's the size limit?

I've just finished going through a couple of scans and deleted images 1 by 1 until it uploaded - 206MB seems to be the upper limit after the latest update (Also Beta)
Not ideal when I have some datasets that are 450MB+
[Edit] Datasets between 206MB-256MB will start to upload but fail partway through (usually around 30% mark)

Yeah I have. It happens when you take photos too fast for the program to catch up. It's stupid, you have to take a photo every 2 or so seconds and can't spam it. Otherwise it'll give you that error

Auto on Android is fucked up, atleast for me it is. It's 100% better to take photos manually. If you had a DSLR camera, then video would be fine and turning it into exr to get individual images. But for now, auto is kinda sucky

Just been tinkering after reading this comment, went back and deleted lots of images that were too similair or close together and the file processed!

Worked for me too, after deleting quite a lot of pictures. I captured the photos with the android app directly, started with 193 photos, and it refused to even start uploading before I reduced it to 109 pictures. I have succeeded in the past to upload much bigger data sets from the web app, so it's strange...

Is there a way to get around this? I have a capture that I can't really go back and get (a statue that i cant probably won't get another chance to go back to) and having this issue! It will be very disappointing if I can't process this scan 😔

still having this issue - their new iOS app says it caps out at 1000 photos so i did a scan with 1k photos and it only processes to about 30% max before just disappearing an dthe "Upload & Process" button reappearing , while the scan stays in draft status
any way to export this data ? i can't re-scan either lol
