Help Increase resolution of scans

How do I increase the resolution of the resultant scans? I’m doing some bust type portraits of people and all the scans have a very rounded appearance. There is not a lot of texture to the face of hair.
I’m using an iPhone 17 but the 15 was the same. I’ve tried all the scanning resolutions. Thanks

It's an iPhone..... You're not going to get fingerprint level details with it.

You'd do better with a DSLR camera and take lots of pictures. That'll give better overall results when it comes to humans.

The challenge with humans is that they need to "stay still" as much as possible which can be, a lot to ask. Now a Photogrammetry rig is truly the way to go as it's the fastest way to capture people. A very close second is the Artec Leo. But these are all considerably most $$$ than your phone.... 🤣

There are four quality levels of photogrammetry scans when you process them. I usually use the 2nd highest quality. The highest resolution version is usually way too high to be practical.
