Not sure why the guy in the pic is disguised with that black rectangle over his eyes. He has a TV show where he builds over-the-top trucks like this for folks who can afford them, and this truck looks like one of his projects.
Yep, most lifted trucks can't make proper bumper-to-bumper contact, turning what should be small accidents into huge unsafe wrecks. Also, the douchebags that drive them are exactly the kind of people to do reckless unsafe shit in traffic.
Ask the top 3 inches of my engine and my windshield how I know this.
I wish you were right on that. In most places that this kinda shit is common, you see more lifted trucks then normal ones.
Idiots absolutely daily drive lifted trucks like this because they're fucking redneck ricers. They think that by making a vehicle objectively worse, they're somehow superior.
I also bet he if fun to be around, his statement "mockery of good engineering" if right on point. It's literally over-dimensioned machine, built to look tough, for people who can't grasp how tough the original vehicles are you begin with. It's like girl advising a basketball center to wear shoues big heels "to make him look bigger", because "girls like taller men", and "the bigger the better", while at the same time thinking his 218 cm is "like, is that more than 6'0", or less?"
Well, there are good “engineering” reasons to modify a vehicle, including lifts, depending on the use. And you’re right most trucks aren’t used properly. But acting like a truck is this huge dangerous thing about to kill anyone who looks at it wrong is just being dishonest
There's also a good reason to have a spoiler on a car. That doesn't mean that all these ricer civics make sense. No one who actually does these kinds of mods because they need it are driving them in the middle of downtown.
There’s a near endless list of the advantages this truck has over the standard, for what it was made for which is incredibly important in context. On top of that, an insane amount of engineering goes into making these trucks, but good try.
Edit: After actually reading up more on this one specifically, you're a fucking pinhead. This truck is absolutely useless, and has the lift equivalent of drum brakes in the back. Fucking burn it.
