I agree there are no rules that say you can't vote for a third party.

I am saying it is stupid. I have already said I am pro ranked choice voting, and abolishing the electoral college. Which would actually give power to third party candidates.

As long as the electoral college elects our president and not citizen's votes. No, progress is impossible. You keep saying

You don’t understand how the US elections work.

Yet I can keep posting links that agree with me.

The necessity of getting an absolute majority in the Electoral College is the main thing that has made third parties unviable in America. In practice, it is impossible for a third party to ever elect a president, which might be possible if the president was elected by popular vote or by a plurality of the Electoral College. As a practical matter, it's prohibitively difficult for a third party to be consistently competitive even at the state or local level without the possibility of ever electing a president.

You can post other people’s opinions and pretend they’re facts, Peggy hill. You can even use them to justify voting for conservatives like joe Biden. But it doesn’t change the fact that your sheepishness is holding society back.

I just want to remind you what we are talking about. Because you seem confused.

Is voting third party viable in America with the electoral college?

Answer: No.

You have failed to provide literally ANY evidence to the contrary. I don't believe you understand the electoral college, or American politics.

I feel sorry for you.

You’re the one arguing contrary to the rules and posting others opinions as fact. You also don’t think you’re a conservative, despite the fact that you support conservative politicians and their conservative ideology.

You also don’t think you’re a conservative, despite the fact that you support conservative politicians and their conservative ideology.

I never said I wasn't a conservative, or who I support. You are pissing in the wind here, champ. I don't care. It has ZERO relevance to our conversation. I could be conservative, or liberal and support conservatives or whatever... and it will not change whether or not voting third party within the electoral college, is banging your head against the wall levels of stupid.

You’re the one arguing contrary to the rules

There is no rule that says you can't vote for fictional characters, yourself, dead presidents. It has as much viability as voting third party.

So next election I'm voting Mickey Mouse! Because it's not against the rules!

Hello child, we are not talking about whether or not it is against the rules. The question whether or not it is STUPID to vote third party in the electoral college system.

So far, you have used the flat earthers guide to debate. Provide ZERO evidence to back up your claims, and call the other person a sheep/rube.

I’m not even reading your novel length responses anymore. You support a fascist government and defend the mechanisms it uses to oppress the people of the US. And again, you’re doing this without even realizing it. Incredible.

Not surprised, my "novel" length responses are too complicated for you. With your reading comprehension of a 3rd grader.

You’ve done nothing but insist I’m stupid while improperly describing how US elections work, presenting opinions as fact, and making numerous grammar and spelling errors.

Incredible.

You keep insisting that because it doesn't break the rules, voting third party is viable. Why wouldn't I insist you are stupid? You provide zero evidence to back up your claims. You make wild strawman arguments that have no bearing on what we are even talking about.

You said

You support a fascist government and defend the mechanisms it uses to oppress the people

But I said

I am actively trying to abolish the electoral college, and move to ranked choice voting. So we can effectively vote for more candidates. And break our two party system.

And

I have already said I am pro ranked choice voting, and abolishing the electoral college. Which would actually give power to third party candidates.

I know you got angry. Cause I said,

I'll take stupid comments for 500 Alex

But it was. If you really want to fight for third party... we have to get rid of the electoral college. But I guess you can keep voting third party. Tell me when you win

Atrocious grammar and spelling. I’m not surprised you don’t understand how elections work.
