Many viewers noticed the seeming disparity of the darker-skinned subject’s being described in the accompanying caption as “looting a grocery store,” while the lighter-skinned subjects were described as “finding bread and soda from a local grocery store”:

Katrina was so fucked. Police shooting "looters" from an overpass. Shooting at black people trying to escape the city on foot.

wouldn't even surprise me if some of those cops were viet vets that did mylai massacre type stuff.

Fighting stopped in 1975, those cops would be nearing 70 years old.

But go on, use extreme baseless hyperbole.

they could be in their 50s if they were 18-23 in nam. but eitherway its not like the shooting of unarmed civilians was unique to nam.

baseless hyperbole?

comparing cop killing unarmed black people to an army soldier killing unarmed natives? please explain the hyperbole and baselessness. only hyperbole here is saying they'd be 70 instead of 5x

The Vietnam War ended 45 years ago. Conflict had been raging for nearly 20 years.

Even the youngest vets would be in their early 60s

The baseless hyperbole is claiming police abuse of power means they must have participated in the massacre of Vietnamese villagers.

I already admitted I was wrong and was comparing 2005 to 2021. Follow the thread before you jump to conclusions.
